New MAN OF STEEL Poster For Russell Crowe's Jor-El

Seemingly the first in a series of Man of Steel character posters, a new one-sheet has revealed a new look at Russell Crowe armed as Superman's papa, Jor-El. Check out the poster after the jump!

In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Cavill) is a young twentysomething journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone’s imagination. Transported to Earth years ago from Krypton, an advanced alien planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question – Why am I here? Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Costner), Clark soon discovers that having super abilities means making very difficult decisions. But when the world needs stability the most, it comes under attack. Will his abilities be used to maintain peace or ultimately used to divide and conquer? Clark must become the hero known as “Superman,” not only to shine as the world’s last beacon of hope but to protect the ones he loves. In theaters June 14, 2013.

CharacterAssassin - 5/20/2013, 11:31 AM
Honestly, he would've looked BOSS if they gave him a huge sword for a weapon rather than a rifle/gun.

DukeAcureds - 5/20/2013, 11:46 AM

Thor has a sword??? ok people Kryptonian's don't have superpowers on Krypton, so what use is a sword when your enemies have guns.

OrionPax - 5/20/2013, 12:13 PM
@brickwall Thor would be Marvel, that's Jor-El.And i too LOVE that Snyder is delving into Krypton more and it's not some crystalline landscape!
OrionPax - 5/20/2013, 12:15 PM
And the explanation of the "S" as the family crest and a symbol of hope on Krypton or "Criptin" as Brando said it in Superman.......

Brickwall@ Wonder Woman. That is all.
TerminalVoyd - 5/20/2013, 12:41 PM
@ Shango

Well, the family crest is not Snyder or Goyer's doing. That they're lifting from the comics themselves.
brickwall - 5/20/2013, 12:43 PM
@hartley07 Thor uses a MAGICAL HAMMER what releveance is that on Krypton. Dont be an ass!
iPaul - 5/20/2013, 12:43 PM

AlexDeLarge87 - 5/20/2013, 12:44 PM

Jor El: Son brush your teeth or im gonna knock them out.
brickwall - 5/20/2013, 12:47 PM
@DukeAcureds this is KRYPTON. what ain't you people getting. No superpowers on Krypton therefore means they would be reliant on technology to beat their enemies.
