RUMOR: Adam Harris To Play Lex Luthor?

RUMOR: Adam Harris To Play Lex Luthor?

Click here to read the report saying that relatively unknown actor Adam Harris very well might be up for the role of Lex Luthor in Zack Snyder's upcoming movie 'Superman: Man of Steel'...

Earlier today we saw the article from RadarOnline claiming that Lindsay Lohan was still up for a role in Zack Snyder's upcoming Superman movie. Well tucked away at the bottom of that same article seems to be a little bit of information that went over-looked by most readers, the article also claims that actor Adam Harris is supposedly up for the role of Lex Luthor and will be reading alongside Lindsay for her role.

"Another role that is close to being filled is that of Lex Luther, the power-mad archenemy of Superman. has learned fledgling actor Adam Harris, who bears a striking resemblance to Luther, is in the mix and has auditioned multiple times for producers.

Harris is scheduled to join Lohan for the read, suggesting the pair could be teamed together as villains."

Not much is really known about Harris, I could only find a couple pictures of him, and by the looks of IMDB he hasn't starred in an awful lot of movies, but he definitely looks the part of Luthor.

If these rumors are to be believed, Lohan and Harris would be starring alongside Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Kevin Costner as Johnathan Kent, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, and Diane Lane as Martha Kent.

ALmighty1080 - 4/4/2011, 12:27 PM
lol no
PaulRom - 4/4/2011, 12:28 PM
He definitely looks the part.
But no Lohan. Unless she's one of the victims of an alien invasion or something.
PaulRom - 4/4/2011, 12:29 PM
Or better yet...let her be a Kryptonian that's killed when Krypton blows up!
LP4 - 4/4/2011, 12:29 PM

Yes! I've been saying for months- LEX HAS TO BE IN THIS MOVIE!!
Dynamo - 4/4/2011, 12:30 PM
"Reading against" doesn't mean starring. It just means the dude's getting an audition. Personally I'd prefer a more prominent actor to play Lex. Couldn't give two shits about Mercy. All I need to say is Lindsey Lohan better stay the [frick] away from my franchise!
ThaMessenger07 - 4/4/2011, 12:30 PM
Comedian03 - 4/4/2011, 12:31 PM

It says he's been in the mix of actors being considered and has auditioned many times, not just that he's reading with Lindsay.

I've never seen any of his movies but in my opinion he definitely has the look of Luthor.
LP4 - 4/4/2011, 12:33 PM
I agree with "Dynamo"

We need an actor with a real solid name in Hollywood. This guy is waaay too unknown.
LP4 - 4/4/2011, 12:35 PM
@Gaston- exactly. I've been saying the whole time we needed Lex in this film. Every film Lex has been a goofball. If anyone in the Superman mythos needs repair work it is Lex Luthor.

This guy does kinda resemble the STAS Lex. The tan skin...the beady eyes...the seriousness of him.

If he's anything like Clancy Brown's Lex, I think we're in store for something really epic for Lex Luthor.
canadianturd - 4/4/2011, 12:36 PM
I'm going to assume they are auditioning for reporters at The Daily Planet.
fullmetal - 4/4/2011, 12:36 PM
no more lex...give another villain a try!
Peteyparker - 4/4/2011, 12:36 PM
@LP4 Yea, u say that but look what happened when Kevin Spacey was Luthor? Remember some of Superman's better movie actors started off as nobodies.
fullmetal - 4/4/2011, 12:37 PM
lp4...unknowns are the best...remember Star Wars?
P862010 - 4/4/2011, 12:37 PM
no beleive this bs article

Michael Shannon is up for LEX
fullmetal - 4/4/2011, 12:38 PM
unknowns help suspend disbelief becuase we are not looking at someone we "know"
Hellsing - 4/4/2011, 12:38 PM
well he looks like luthor, so who knows
J0RELLC00LJ - 4/4/2011, 12:39 PM
He looks like a shaved Shia Le-poof!

AlexdoxA - 4/4/2011, 12:39 PM
Maybe they meant Ed Harris???
LP4 - 4/4/2011, 12:39 PM
@Peteyparker- True...

if this guy is really going to be Lex Luthor. He's gotta be really cold and menacing. I wanna see my most favorite comicbook supervillain brought back to life in an epic way.
canadianturd - 4/4/2011, 12:40 PM
Billy Zane!!
Comedian03 - 4/4/2011, 12:42 PM
I have no issues with Luthor being in the movie, there's nothing saying he has to be the main villain, but I think he should definitely have a presence in the movie.
JR - 4/4/2011, 12:43 PM
is like a decease, the Luthor or Luther spelling LU-THOR!!!!
Swanky - 4/4/2011, 12:43 PM
Grant Morrison is playing luthor!?
JR - 4/4/2011, 12:44 PM
btw LOL about this news!
JohnnyKrypton - 4/4/2011, 12:45 PM
"is like a decease, the Luthor or Luther spelling LU-THOR!!!! "

Oh, the irony...
Apharmd - 4/4/2011, 12:47 PM
BS. just because he has a shaved head doesn't mean he can be Luthor
AlexdoxA - 4/4/2011, 12:48 PM
@Johnny Kripton Wahahahahahaha!!! Thoose Guys kan't iven Spel!!!!
tracydavis001 - 4/4/2011, 12:51 PM
No way !! Even if he's only in the background of the story he should still b a known ,solid actor !! I also say Billy Zane!!!!
InfiniteMonkey - 4/4/2011, 12:53 PM
I do not understand why so many of you want Lex Luthor in all of these movies. He's been in all of them. Get a new villain in there.

Or is it that there is a collective metaphysical sewer like cool aid that everyone is drinking for wanting Lex all the time. I'm glad I'm not drinking that.

In order for one to grow, one must experience new horizons.

Its clear that no one wants that and if this rumour is true then Snyder is somewhat caught up in all of that as well. Pity...
UltimaRex - 4/4/2011, 12:54 PM
He's just a guy for other actors to read against. Happens all the time. The girl who screen tested with Reeve wasn't Kidder or even on the list.

BTW, Yes to Lex as a minor villain, no to Lex as a main villain and a big HELL NO to Zane.
imnotwearinghockeypants - 4/4/2011, 12:57 PM
Good. Unknown's are the way to go.
effy - 4/4/2011, 12:58 PM
Thank goodness! A new actor! It's about time. This movie is from before the full grown Lex. I think this would be a good choice. If they cast this guy I think it will be a good choice.
JWStubner - 4/4/2011, 12:58 PM
OBVIOUSLY this won't happen but why not just get Kevin Spacey again? He is perfect if you ask me. I know that Zack Snyder is willing to do ANYTHING to distance himself from the original franchise but in the end does it really matter that much if it features one of the actors returning to play the same character. Spacey never really got the chance to spread is wings as Luthor and I can't think of anyone else being nearly as entertaing or on par as the Oscar winner.

golden123 - 4/4/2011, 1:01 PM
How does this guy "bear a striking resemblence to Lex"? Other than being bald he looks nothing like the Luthor.
LP4 - 4/4/2011, 1:03 PM
@InfiniteMonkey- Because Luthor has yet to have a proper portrayal on screen. He was always a fu*king JOKE. They owe us a real, evil and menacing Lex Luthor this time.

@golden123- Agreed...but who knows he might knock it out of the park...

@JWStubner- People like you (no offense) don't seem to want a real REBOOT. NO MORE SPACEY. He was already Lex...pretty much sucked at it too. A new actor is needed for the role.
JWStubner - 4/4/2011, 1:08 PM

You clearly don't GET it. Luthor more or less involved himself in EVERY Superman story ever told. Having him there is as key as having Alfred or Gordon being involved in a Batman story. Sorry bout it man but it's true. He's always just there and I don't think a lot of people want to see what it's like to have him not there. Watch Superman 3, Luthor isn't in it at all and you'll see what I mean. It lacks purpose.
Optimus83 - 4/4/2011, 1:09 PM
I prefer Billy Zane as Lex Luthor. ...

skullboy - 4/4/2011, 1:11 PM
Have no idea who this guy is.
