SUPERMAN Teaches Us About "Respect" On Sesame Street

Man Of Steel actor Henry Cavill may have broken Zod's neck at the end of that movie, but he gets a chance to redeem himself on Sesame Street. I guess he teams up with someone else before Batman! Check it out after the jump..

He’s starred in one of the year’s biggest movies, donned the tights as a cultural icon and become the object of affection for millions of film fans in the process. Now, British actor Henry Cavill adds a cherry on top of his gourmet sundae of a year by swooping into “Sesame Street” as the long-running show’s 44th season kicks off today.

In the premiere episode entitled “Don’t Get Pushy,” Cavill appears in a “Word on the Street” segment alongside Elmo, the Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf. He joins the crew to help teach kids the meaning of the word “respect.”

Damn Sesame Street is still on? Nice. Good gesture from Cavill btw, kudos to him.
TheGreenBastard - 9/18/2013, 6:47 AM
Clark should put his glasses on, people will recognize him as Superman...rookie mistake.
anthonyEstark - 9/18/2013, 7:07 AM
Yea, we should love, be kind and respect one another.
Jollem - 9/18/2013, 7:18 AM
superman says "be respectful", ya little piggies
MexicanSexyman - 9/18/2013, 7:52 AM
@whoa123, yea the show has been on longer than Gusto's sagging peanuts.
LEVITIKUZ - 9/18/2013, 7:52 AM
Superman was very respectful with Zod and what he did to government property.
maninfinesuit - 9/18/2013, 8:05 AM
He has the smile of a bashful high school girl.
Cles - 9/18/2013, 8:06 AM
Dear Mr. Henson,

Every time I watch a modern Sesame Street segment, I realize just how much the show needs and misses you. Respect.

maninfinesuit - 9/18/2013, 8:13 AM
Better Superman with better Muppets.

TheGambitFreak - 9/18/2013, 8:24 AM
Lolz, no way would glasses help conceal his identity. We live in a world where the new world order spys on us and kills us with drones and chemical trails. Clark Kent would not be safe from facial recognition.
JoeMomma29 - 9/18/2013, 8:25 AM
@ IamnotYOu

How sad, that even Sesame Street who can teach toddlers values and life lessons cannot teach you anything like respect.
JorL5150 - 9/18/2013, 8:27 AM
Gusto respects all the women in his harem.

Mcgee respects all the women in his harem.

Sackmode respects the tranny's he has chained up in the basement.

Trudy respects the sheep he dates.

Reallyreamsboys respects namblo.

Jor~L5150 respects gusto.

Nomis respects partying like its 1999.

Jollem - 9/18/2013, 8:28 AM
now lois and superman both have hung out with the muppets
JorL5150 - 9/18/2013, 8:30 AM
Ironic that elmo teaches about respect, when the creator of elmo is a pedo.
thewonderer - 9/18/2013, 8:43 AM

I have a 3 year old. The celebrity guest spots on Sesame Street make it bearable to watch (and some of them are pretty good).

JorL5150 - 9/18/2013, 9:35 AM
I respect the camera work in gustos sex tapes
JorL5150 - 9/18/2013, 9:39 AM
Man- I wish he'd break elmos neck-

That would be as awesome as obi-wan beheading jar jar with a lightsabre.

Some body fancut that. Make it happen.

In fact let cavill break elmos neck, roast big bird on a big rotisserie and ride snuffalopagus off into the sunset
patrat18 - 9/18/2013, 9:44 AM
Hopefully Trevor is next "ole ole ole ole"
JorL5150 - 9/18/2013, 9:49 AM
Mcgee is a great camera guy, because he can always be a stand-in if needed.

That's how "shaky cam" was invented.

HugoStrange87 - 9/18/2013, 10:25 AM
Always leave it to the CBM community to make mountains out of mole hills. Next we'll hear "Cavill's hair is receding!" And "Thor will out gross MOS!"
HugoStrange87 - 9/18/2013, 10:54 AM
More than half of Hollywood has plugs anyway.
valeriesghost - 9/18/2013, 10:56 AM
It would have been great if Cavil would have immediately grabbed the Big Bad Wolf and snapped his neck and yelled "RESPECT BITCH!"
valeriesghost - 9/18/2013, 10:58 AM
and i loved MOS
Brainiac13 - 9/18/2013, 11:08 AM

Lol! Maybe in a outtake....just for laughs.
SnapperCarr - 9/18/2013, 11:42 AM
Man the comments here can be very rude.
SpiderParker - 9/18/2013, 12:10 PM
LMAO @valeriesghost
haha, nice one dude...
Battabing - 9/18/2013, 12:18 PM
Hey guys! My movie beat every Phase 1 Marvel movie except the one where they all had to team up to stop an invasion Captain Kangaroo could have stopped alone.

AnditsOn1 - 9/18/2013, 12:19 PM
He doesn't need to redeem himself. You are saying like it is wrong. its like a person sacrificed so much for you and you still act like a bastard and call him a bitch.

On the other hand though, although i don't mind superman killing to save people, WB's decision to carry this plan on is kinda annoying. It is exactly like what DC usually does---keep giving superman haters something that they can use as an "evidence" to preach how bad and stupid superman is whereas absent context.
TheWolverine08 - 9/18/2013, 12:36 PM
Did he snap a neck while he was there?
supermarioworldE - 9/18/2013, 12:36 PM
Well at least he got to talk for a change.
supermarioworldE - 9/18/2013, 12:37 PM
Damn shame that Kevin Clash isn't Elmo anymore.
TheTank - 9/18/2013, 12:44 PM
I love how the underage kids, and hardcore assholes on this site have to even bash a Sesame Street segment and somehow turn it into some stupid debate about Man Of Steel...

Grow up.
HugoStrange87 - 9/18/2013, 1:02 PM
It's sad how this is turned into a turd fest.
JorL5150 - 9/18/2013, 1:30 PM

its GREAT!
