In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond his imagination. Transported years ago to Earth from Krypton, a highly advanced, distant planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question 'Why am I here?' Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities means making difficult decisions. When the world is in dire need of stability, an even greater threat emerges. Clark must become a Man of Steel, to protect the people he loves and shine as the world's beacon of hope - Superman.

Man Of Steel (which also stars Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Laurence Fishburne and Russell Crowe) is set to hit theaters June 14th, 2013.

D117 - 6/7/2012, 1:06 PM
It's just a recycled image of the official logo released a while back.

Man of Steel has to be better than Returns. Hoping Zack and Supes are a good match-up.

People here are freaking retarded.

Theres no point in providing any real advertising this early as the film IS STILL A YEAR AWAY.

Morons, if they do any more people will begin to become anticipated and shit. Think
CaptainDC - 6/7/2012, 1:21 PM
Can't wait!
MaskofTengu - 6/7/2012, 1:24 PM
@thewonderer. I couldn't agree more.
superotherside - 6/7/2012, 1:28 PM
Sad we didn't get a new image of Superman. Oh well. The logo was cool when I first saw it. Just as cool now. Can't wait to get some more pictures!
TheAmazingSpidey63 - 6/7/2012, 1:28 PM
Well, here's to hoping that this movie will be the 'Superman' movies out of all Superman films. I don't mean any disrespects whatsoever, but I still think that no one can match Christopher Reeves' Superman film(s). A one-of-a-kind actor to play a really cool character. Let's hope this film does justice for Superman, 'cause he certainly deserves more good movies. :)

Stay EPIC, my friends!
TheAmazingSpidey63 - 6/7/2012, 1:30 PM
@53, Yeah, man. I'm sure it'll be the best one yet. We'll have to wait and see. :)
PaulRom - 6/7/2012, 1:31 PM
Hopefully we'll get some better stuff at the Licensing Expo next week. Definitely time for a new promo image or two of Superman himself.
HavocPrime - 6/7/2012, 1:41 PM
Hoping some new stuff is revealed in the expo
SpiderFan35 - 6/7/2012, 1:42 PM
Oh God can't breathe. Gusto, Tea, that is hilarious shit.
TheAmazingSpidey63 - 6/7/2012, 1:43 PM
@Just1Superguy - Some have said that the Christopher Reeves Superman films were "dark and gritty"? Huh, can't see how that's true. It was pretty cool to me. :)
TheAmazingSpidey63 - 6/7/2012, 1:46 PM
@Tea - I salute you, good sir, for bringing back the sexy and the funny to this site. Keep it goin', my friend! ;D
TheAmazingSpidey63 - 6/7/2012, 2:05 PM
@53, Laura Dore, huh? You got a great taste in models, bud. :)
Chaplin - 6/7/2012, 2:07 PM
They really have to decide on a color scheme instead of experimenting with different looks. The S is too bright for the background and the background too dark for the S.
TheAntiGrif - 6/7/2012, 2:08 PM
@Tea how do u put pictures in your comments
TheAmazingSpidey63 - 6/7/2012, 2:10 PM
@Gusto - Is that you, Gussy? Didn't recognize you there. Oh, well, nice avatar there. Still, I do miss the other one. :P
Chaplin - 6/7/2012, 2:19 PM
anyone notice the lines between the words MAN and STEEL and at the beginning and the end of the Warner Bros. logo at the bottom!! Choppy editing or fanmade? Find out after the break!
Netman0007 - 6/7/2012, 2:30 PM
Wow those lines at the top there are TERRIBLE
rbfn04 - 6/7/2012, 2:32 PM
YAWN! Where is Prince Kal-El? Does he tie his own shoes?
TheAmazingSpidey63 - 6/7/2012, 2:37 PM
@Intruder - Hahaha, I'm guessing that the pic wasn't helping with the mood you're in, dude. :P
StaticMan - 6/7/2012, 2:42 PM

"I think I'm one of the only Superman fans who didn't like Reeve as Superman. His Superman was Hookey and overpowered...even by Superman's power standards"

No, you're not. I am not a fan of the Reeve Superman. Haven't cared for any of the Superman roles to date and not overly excited about Cavill. Still wish Clint Walker would have played Superman while he was alive. He would have been the ideal Superman. Had the stature, frame, look and acting chops.

Not a fan of this logo either. It's just about as close to being brown as it is red.
AlexDeLarge87 - 6/7/2012, 3:16 PM
I would like to see some movie stills already.
You would think they already has some of those ready.
manofmidgard - 6/7/2012, 3:22 PM
diabne lane is a great actress but why oh why do they even let kevin costner in movies?
rbfn04 - 6/7/2012, 3:29 PM
" It's just about as close to being brown as it is red." yep
Greengo - 6/7/2012, 3:40 PM
Awww thx Gusto : )
mgeoff88 - 6/7/2012, 4:04 PM
I like that they tried to make the MOS logo more noble looking and less dark and gritty.

But the lighting for this is promo poster is overexposed though. It's washing out the red and yellow of the Superman emblem.
TheAmazingSpidey63 - 6/7/2012, 4:05 PM
Dang, @Gusto. You've truly changed there, dude. Why the sudden change all of a sudden? Not that I'm saying I'm hating this new change, but this really is a big change from you. :)
paulyd3 - 6/7/2012, 4:09 PM
hate the new symbol love the thread pics. DC just seems really off base with jim lee taking over 52 and this MOS and green lantern films, Marvel ownes it.
Digitaria51 - 6/7/2012, 4:20 PM
Trailer or GTFO
rng86 - 6/7/2012, 4:21 PM
show the man in the suit already!
Fogs - 6/7/2012, 4:33 PM
Oh, I was expecting to see supes... The symbol looks good, anyway.
Fogs - 6/7/2012, 4:41 PM
And I prefer the crazy old asshole Gusto version, that was better.

jumpingJellybeans - 6/7/2012, 4:48 PM
It's gonna be 300 with kryptonians. So excited...
