It seems even though it is a whole year away from its release, Warner Bros. will begin promoting Zack Snyder's Superman reboot in and around the time The Dark Knight Rises is set to hit theaters..

Ok, it seems this isn't official yet, but the word on ye ol interwebs is that the first teaser for Man Of Steel will debut with TDKR. The teaser image is apparently from a magazine (still working on finding out which) and the blurb below popped up on a fan-run website for the movie - so don't take it as Gospel until we can confirm it..



"Warner Bros. will begin promoting its Zack Snyder-directed Superman reboot ‘Man of Steel,’ in a few days (a whole year before it’s June 14, 2013 release date). The studio had a similar strategy with ‘The Dark Knight Rises’. The teaser trailer for that film debuted July 18, 2011, almost a year to the day of its July 20, 2012 scheduled release date. The ‘Man of Steel’ teaser trailer is set to debut on or before July 20 (When The Dark Knight Rises arrives) with official movie stills to appear in movie magazines and online in the next few days!"


UPDATE: Yeah so it's not official I'm afraid. Apparently it was posted as pure speculation based on rumors, BUT, that doesn't mean a teaser won't debut - as we know it is very likely that it will - it just means we haven't had official word on it yet. Ah well! Hopefully we'll still get a few new images and what not soon.

Cool. I am definitely curious to see what this film looks like. I have never been a very big fan of Superman, so I hope this is the film to interest me in the character.

Well,duuuuhhhh.It makes sense that WB/DC would put a teaser trailer in front of TDKR.Zack Snyder should have some good visual effects shots already completed for this movie.

Hopefully the teaser is good.Hopefully the movie is good.Snyder has had a long time to work on this movie and he'S still got a year until the release date.Superman is a character that deserves a great movie.

of course they will have a teasr in fornt of batman, they are both dc properties, it only makes sense, besides teasers usually come out about a year before the movie does anyways....

Cool. Looking forward to seeing a real Superman movie, with action, something past movies seemed to lack in, especially "Returns".Can't wait for 2013.

This isn't that far of a stretch. I remember when Dpider-man 1 came out back in May of 2002. They showed the teaser trailer for Ang Lee's Hulk movie which wasn't released until the summer of 2003. With that being said...I can't wait! Bring on Kal El!

I find it odd, that so many people are saying that it is a given that MoS teaser will be with TDKR, based on the fact they are both WB/DC when TDKR's trailer was with Avengers.

I believe it will be with TDKR, but not because they are both WB/DC, but because it guarantees maximum expose for the movie, seeing as they would not put both with Avengers, seeing as TDKR comes out first so wanted sole focus on that at the time.

Although I hope this is true a;; being said and done

This is one I'm just really hoping is good.

I think Zack Snyder is a terrible director, but I also love Superman with reckless abandon, I think he's potentially the most iconic character of the modern age.

I can see this sucking, really baaaaaaaaaad... In fact I'm almost dreading it... But I'm still excited to see it as I am always down for a Superman flick.

Can't wait to see the teaser!

@IronSpider101 I am a mad Superman too, I hope this is great, I think Snyder could be a great fit for Supe's, and seeing as he had nothing to do with with the story. That can't be all bad.

Also,I watched Superman Returns again on AMC today.I have to say I hate this movie.With Superman not being on the big screen for close to twenty years,why would WB/DC let Bryan Singer even make a sequel to Superman 2 when they had two sequels to those movies,not have him face a super villain from the comics,and give Supes a child with Lois Lane.Supes doesn't even have a child in the comics.The movie should have have been a reboot.I remember reading what Singer was planning for the movie back then and I knew it was doomed to fail.Plus the movie was boring as hell.I hope to God that this Zack Snyder film is good and has great fight scenes in it.

This Superman movie cannot FAIL!!!!This movie will be a make or break for Supes on the big screen.If this movie doesn't do good at the box office next year we might not not have another Superman movie for a very long time.
