Really do hope it's awesome. Superman deserves an amazing movie after the Reeves version. Returns was alright, but this needs to be amazing.

Man of Steel is going to at least be interesting. It isn't going to have the potential to go wrong like Green Lantern because the people behind the the dark knight trilogy wrote this freaking film as DC/WB should continue to do. When you keep giving it to the people who wrote No ordinary family you can't expect anything good

I'm afraid I was also dissapointed by The Dark Knight Rises for all the same reasons people are talking about online. and no "You have to suspend disbelief" doesn't help because if that's what Nolan was going for, what's the problem with having Killer Croc of Clayface in the movies?

Because of this, I am skeptical of Man of Steel, but very hopeful. Henry Cavill is perfect for the role and I love how he will be the bulkiest Superman yet.

I have tons of faith in Zack Snyder because Watchmen is a fantastic film, and extremely loyal to the best of the source material. It frankly has a better ending than the comic, although I do wish Rorschack killed the child murderer like he does in the comic.

I think you missed a lot in the Avengers.

Isn't it reasonable to make the kill switch if something goes wrong period? Like, if the machine were to explode instead to do what it was supposed to, a kill switch would deactivate it without destroying it.

Loki was a clown? People are still clinging to the fact that Loki, one primary antagonist of one of the six Avengers was beaten by...six Avengers? Yeah. Makes no sense.

Iron Man surviving a nuke? In space? After falling through a wormhole? Yeah. How would he survive? He didn't eject the Bat or anything.

Hulk not being able to control himself until he fell? Did you go get popcorn during the scene with him and the security guard?

People only started really ragging on TA after TASM and TDKR came out, because they felt they had to support their fanbase. No one had these "issues" except those with preconceived notions that the movie would fail. And when it didn't, critically and commercially, they couldn't swallow their own false pride.

The only bad comic book movie we've gotten this year is Ghost Rider. All other three movies had things they could have improved on, but I'm more than happy they were as good as they were.

I'm really excited for MOS because he's the only mainstream character capable of complete ownage. The fight scenes in this movie are going to about as close to a (good) live action DBZ movie as we're going to get. I wonder if Kent will sun-dip... that would be intense.

@battlingmurdock, I loved The Avengers, but let's not pretend there aren't any goofy parts. The scene with the security guard does nothing (as is) to explain Hulk's sudden ability to control himself. AS we all know, there was a deleted scene that explains it, but we'll have to wait for the director's cut to see how it fits together. But it's a great movie, no question about it. And a BETTER movie going experience than TDKR, which I have several problems with. I have a short list of mild nitpicks with Avengers, mostly stemming from Whedon's insistance that every character in every project he does be snarky and sarcastic. I'm sorry but Thor saying "He's adopted", while funny, does not fit his character at all.

However I agree with at least 80% of the 99 list for TDKR. And I even have a few gripes not listed.

I hope its is a lot Zach Snyder and NOTHING Nolan. I had enough Nolan for a decade already. I hope he stays as far away from CMB's as possible.

Christopher Nolan doesn't seem that involved with the project.

Uses the words "THEY" rather than "WE" a lot.

Being the Producer guess that means Nolan's mostly just writing the checks :p

Nolan does have his foot in to deep with this film, and maybe that's a good thing! I don't say that as in I don't like him, because Christopher Nolan is one of the biggest names in film right now, I love The Dark Knight Trilogy and I love Inception.

That being said, Zack Snyder knows how to makes comic book/superhero films! We saw that with Watchmen (which brilliantly brought that graphic novel to the big screen and improved on some unlikable things from the book)and 300.

From watching the MOS Comic Con panel, I have complete faith in Snyder and Henry Cavill and the footage in both the teaser and the SDCC trailer is incredible!!! I think this could possibly be the best Superman film since Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut and Superman: The Movie (Extended Version), which in my opinion are equals!

@villain001: that ending could've been as much an imagination by Alfred as it could have been a nod to The dark Knight returns, in which Bruce wayne also gives up on batman at the end after faking his death. Did you pay any attention?

man of steel should be good,once we start seeing some proper footage & not bootlegged phone footage.
