Smallville continues to embrace the DC universe that spawned it. According to Entertainment WeeklyMichael Ausiello, actress Pam Grier (Jackie Brown) will assume a recurring role on the show as Amanda Waller. Appropriately, the character is being introduced in the second part of the Geoff Johns scripted episodes, "Legends," which introduces the Justice Society of America.

When the CW moved Smallville to Friday nights, pretty much everyone wrote the show off, believing that the ninth season of the show would be the series' last. And for many, this may not have been such a bad thing because in so many ways season eight was a disappointment.
