Several season in to the show's run, that's exactly the attitude I began taking -- this is EarthCW view of the Superman mythos.

Sorry, EarthCW was an attempt at humor, not sarcasm. I stayed with the show to the very end.

EarthCW haha I love it.

I got reported 3 times yesterday because I said Smallville was shit.

And guess what, my opinion remains.

@Avalache731, it not the continuity to the comics that was the problem. only stupid fanboys would wine about that. it was the mess of continuity within its own universe. the horrible dialogue between characters towards the end of the series. Bad acting from welling after 10 years of primetime tv, the cheesy effects, and the loss of great charaters e.g The Luthors, the kents, Pete Ross.

It was a primetime teen soap opera. lets not kid ourselves. I not going to lie and say that I didn't watch for the Clana love story, Clex bromance, or the emotions of Lex Luthor. And after a while, after the original show runners left the series along with half the cast, it suffered from what alot of soap operas that have been on for more than a decade suffer from.

I loved SMALLVILLE. I was there from day 1. Sure I had my ups and downs, but it was my favorite show for a long time. Faults and all. I thought Tom Welling was PERFECT for Clark Kent, and I understood exactly why they went through so much trouble to get him for the part. Its just too bad it didn't lead into something BIGGER like a JUSTICE LEAGUE or SUPERMAN movie with Welling as Commander, or something.

They should have gave us 1 year of Superman, or just continued the show and made it more about Connor growing up in Smallville, with Welling passing by every now and again, or had every other episode be about Clark at the Daily Planet.

Like I said Smallville wasn't as great as it should have been, but I loved it. When I complain, I don't complain about the finale, I complain about the entire last season. There are other seasons that are kinda sad with wackness, but the last season sucked royally. Last season had NO ACTION AT ALL. Just a bunch of insinuated action, not cool.

If they continued the show with Clark living the life we had been waiting for, they could have still called it SMALLVILLE. Especially since thats what Lois calls him.

Smallville was not the best show and they lost some of the heart in the last couple seasons but at least they finished it and I felt like the last season really tried to get back to some of the heart of season 1-3. The final episode was a win to me the scene with the family in the barn was awesome. I moved on though I have no interest in this comic. I watch shows and movies, I don't read comics.

LOL, I was reported by someone called "Smallvilleisgood".

OK, at least he stated his opinion.
