Did Set Photos Reveal The Possible Cameo In MAN OF STEEL?

A couple of days ago, a new rumor popped up that said an actor from a classic Superman movie or TV show would be making a cameo appearance in Man Of Steel. However, did set photos taken from the Chicago shoot reveal just who the cameo might be? Click here to take a look.

A very interesting rumor was brought to my attention the other day. That rumor stated that an actor from a historical Superman show or movie would be making a cameo in the upcoming Zack Snyder film, Man of Steel. People were told to think outside the box when it came to the cameo, so naturally all kinds of crazy ideas were being thrown around. Including that it might be the late great Christopher Reeve. While this sounds crazy, it might not be too far fetched. Thanks to some Batman like detective work from a Spanish site, and a heads up from @ManofSteel_2013, set photos that were taken from the Chicago set seem to reveal that the cameo might be of Reeve and his classic Clark Kent persona. Check out the set photos below, that show a man dressed in the Kent type clothes Reeve wore in the opening credits to Superman III.

Now check out this photo of Reeve, that features a side by side comparison of the man in the set photo blown up.

Could this be someone that they happen to dress like this on set? Maybe. However, it is rather doubtful that they would dress someone this way for a movie set in these modern times. How they will choose to do the cameo if they are going to keep it in the film will be interesting too. Will you see his face? If you do will they CGI it in? You can check out to see if this cameo will actually come to fruition when Man Of Steel opens on June 14.

If they intend to cameo chris reeve, this is kinda poor taste...
HavocPrime - 1/27/2013, 4:59 PM
Kinda cool, but this is one of those 'wait and see' type of things.
gac - 1/27/2013, 4:59 PM
It's a guy in a suit and hat holding a briefcase!!!??? Couldn't that be anybody?
Kryptonlastson22 - 1/27/2013, 4:59 PM
There is a CGI from Reeve that appeared in on Commercial from the Super bowl where he's walking!! It's amazing.. I this it would be a great cameo!
Logan5 - 1/27/2013, 5:01 PM
When reality is nonprofit.., you get: PatriotsSuperguy-1/27/2013, 4:41pm

I know it's baffling.., but yeah.
incrediblesuperbatspider - 1/27/2013, 5:01 PM
The cameo has been revealed to be the bully who beat up Clark at the bar in Superman II.

Also, Michael Shannon has revealed he will throw a cellophane 'S' at some point
Jordanm785 - 1/27/2013, 5:02 PM
christopher reeve is dead, so how can this work?! CGI, whatever, that's just a bit weird though :-/ this film looks amazing, but that's just really weird!!!
yinyangpalms - 1/27/2013, 5:07 PM
That would not be a cool idea. We all remember Reeve quite well and Reeve actually guested on "Smallville" and personally endorsed it.
Injecting him in the film via CGI would seem to assume Reeve would approve of the film and perhaps he would. But simply injecting him in the film would be very disrespectful.
Reeve lost the ability to control his own body after his accident. Reeve's image was his own and shouldnt be ripped from him too.
Deadshot - 1/27/2013, 5:10 PM
I'm all for a 5 second CGI Reeve cameo, why not keep the great mans memory alive? I highly doubt he would have been opposed to this.
SuperDude001 - 1/27/2013, 5:13 PM
...I think CGI would be a bit bad taste, but who knows it could work.
Although I'm thinking maybe it's Cain, Welling, or others, just in that Christopoher Reeve gear perhaps? I mean that might make it more subtle or something maybe :/
TicklerMan - 1/27/2013, 5:13 PM
Superman III. I didn't realize such a thing exists.
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 1/27/2013, 5:18 PM
doubt it
DioFoRio - 1/27/2013, 5:20 PM
I heard it's Chris Reeves Exact opposite in the Suit..Christopher Walken
superotherside - 1/27/2013, 5:20 PM
Good eye. Maybe.
DioFoRio - 1/27/2013, 5:21 PM
Yeah after they GGI Reeves face onto that guy they can further disrespect him by having a cameo of the Horse that bucked him(if he's not glue already) Costume cool...CGI Reeves not so much. Wouldn't you agree Amazinggrrl? ; ) ya cute babe.
angus666 - 1/27/2013, 5:23 PM
I hate that you say it as though it's actually Reeve. It's just a guy that's dressed up like him.

CGI would be cool but only if it's for like a second. He would just have to be in the background.
edwardshiro - 1/27/2013, 5:24 PM
And the video:

jessepostal - 1/27/2013, 5:25 PM
If they actually go a reeve cameo I don't think it will be cgi, I think it will be a clip from one of the superman movies, digitally cut and pasted into a scene.

Also how is that disrespectful, the man and his family were superman. A nod to the reeve family is the least they could do
Timerider84 - 1/27/2013, 5:27 PM
In a perfect world, they should have had Ryan Reynolds and Christian Bale walking toward Clark as one of the very last scenes. I know Bale isn't going to be in it, but had they set up the movies right, they could have. As far as Reynolds goes, that is still up in the air.

And I hope they DON'T do a Reeve cameo, that is weird and a little distasteful I think.
GreenHalJordan - 1/27/2013, 5:29 PM
I think it could be CGI or pasted in. Part of me thinks its a little bad if his family doesnt get any credit cuz Reeves is dead. However, the other part of me thinks its a nice homage to superman and im sure fans and his family would love it! MOS FTW!
DrRockso - 1/27/2013, 5:35 PM
That guy looks a little to thick around the middle
SuperDude001 - 1/27/2013, 5:36 PM
Thing is, it might not even be Reeve, it might just be a visual joke like involving Kent vaguely making fun that he'd never wear the classic-Clark outfit or whatever and that guy just walks past. I mean, it's obvious it's a deliberate reference, but the exact details are still unknown and if it is CGI paste-in I'm sure they asked permission from his family.
Logan5 - 1/27/2013, 5:38 PM
I heard it was the random fruit vendor who caught the guy trying to lift an orange in the director's cut of Superman: The Movie.

"..Where you goin'?"
DaddyTuesday - 1/27/2013, 5:39 PM
And If you look close enough you'll also see a woman in a dress not dissimillar to a outfit Linda Carter wore once in Wonder Woman. Could Wonder Woman be in it too? And the guy on the far left wearing a white t shirt with a dark circle in the middle of his chest, could that be Tony Stark as well!
CharlesLord - 1/27/2013, 5:41 PM
wait they filmed in chicago? why didnt i know about this?!?!?!
dancingmonkey08 - 1/27/2013, 5:43 PM
Are you [frick]ing kidding me? What a [frick]ing stupid article, look theres a guy in a suit and a hat on the Superman set, it must be Christopher Reeves doing a CGI cameo?! This is a joke, I cant believe some of you are taking this crap seriously, I can barely even see the person in the picture, what a pile of shit
DioFoRio - 1/27/2013, 5:44 PM
I say Clark looks at this guy and says something bout the outfit. I wouldn't want a reeves cameo because it's not about reeves..BUT , I do think they should dedicate it partially to him ,Due to the fact that he was the last good supes we had on film. Sorry Routh the Mouth.
dancingmonkey08 - 1/27/2013, 5:44 PM
[email protected], someone with some sense, at last
SuperDude001 - 1/27/2013, 5:49 PM
dancingmonkey08 @ You can't deny there is a similarity though? I mean the outfit is almost identical down to the suitcase?
PapaEmeritus - 1/27/2013, 5:57 PM
Like they did to Arnold in salvation?
JredTheRed - 1/27/2013, 6:04 PM
@Splenda - thats the first thing that popped in my head.

@LEVITIKUZ - that would be awesome...my two main loves (besides my daughter and fiance)...Star Wars and Tupac

BTW that could just be photoshopped. I'll just wait and see.
Dev - 1/27/2013, 6:08 PM
Isn't this article a bit reaching and sort of silly?
ManofSteel23 - 1/27/2013, 6:09 PM
there shouldnt be no cameo at all! there shouldnt be one single tie to the old films
DioFoRio - 1/27/2013, 6:11 PM
in all honesty it is a lil peculiar to see someone dressed like that ..It is a lil' period. I wouldn't say it's crazy to see "something" amiss in those photos.
Durf - 1/27/2013, 6:12 PM
Boy, really grasping at straws on this one aren't we? Besides, what the [frick] would be the point of CGing Reeve into this? Not to mention it's [frick]ing disgusting and distasteful
damntree - 1/27/2013, 6:16 PM
Who would wear a suit in these modern times? :/
Niuhll - 1/27/2013, 6:26 PM
It wouldn't be the first time a dead actor has been CGI'd into a movie. I wouldn't call it a cameo, it's more of homage to the guy who, for all intents and purposes, is Superman for so many people.

That said, until the shots he appears in are shown, we have no idea of the importance of that bloke.
Coachella - 1/27/2013, 6:41 PM
Have you guys ever thought that maybe WB doesn't want a shared universe. I'm not saying i wouldn't want one but if you guys really think they don't know the general public wants a DC Universe than you're insane. What Marvel Studios is doing is amazing but i want DC to follow there own path. I just want them to release a Flash,Wonder Woman and Aquaman movie before they really make Justice League.
thebearjew - 1/27/2013, 6:41 PM
i <3 christopher reeve
MartianSupermanhunter22 - 1/27/2013, 6:43 PM
