"Hip hop Christmas album, Bro"

Ugh. This "film" has Michael Bay's stink all over it.

Him - 8/7/2014, 9:37 AM
Everyone stop kidding yourselves, this movie looks entertaining as [frick].
ALmazing - 8/7/2014, 9:39 AM
That was actually pretty good, why can't they just release more of this? I feel the marketing for this movie is what's going to make it fail, is not so much the lack of awareness for the movie, but I think they failed to capture how fun the movie is going to be.
broncodave83 - 8/7/2014, 9:40 AM
Who cares what critics and Rotten Tomatoes say. If you want to see it then go see it. That's what I'm doing. You shouldn't give two sh*ts what others say. They don't form your opinion, you do.
rabid - 8/7/2014, 9:47 AM
This looks hilarious. And nobody pays attention to RT reviews except RT wanks. That site is mostly hypercritical ego-stroking.
RetroKnight - 8/7/2014, 9:52 AM
The movie was great! I seen a early screening last night. Its not perfect or some feat of film making but it was fun! All the rumors were bull slight origin change but nothing worth worrying about Splinter and Shredder are bad a$$! Its a little to fast paced could have used an extra 10-15 minutes of interaction between the Turtles but all in all I was happy with it!
AreTudaEDub - 8/7/2014, 9:53 AM
I saw the movie yesterday and I have to say that it was a "decent" movie. It almost has the same exact feel of Green Lantern. When the turtles are on the screen I really enjoyed it but when they weren't I could just feel the director copying a storyboard. It was very linear with no real highs and lows. The kids in my theater loved it though. But it kinda ranges from bad to decent.

Turtles portrayed as them selves.
Funny jokes

Shredder shredder, shredder
too much talk and no show
animated parts are better than love action scenes
AreTudaEDub - 8/7/2014, 9:58 AM

I wish they they went with Pop music instead of a movie score throughout the movie.
Gusto - 8/7/2014, 10:04 AM
I'm trying to get SuperCat on

Thanks for the input guys, I'll give this movie a chance. Who knows, could be a new guilty pleasure movie for me, right next to pacific rim :P
AreTudaEDub - 8/7/2014, 10:19 AM
I'm telling you guys it like green lantern with funnier comedic timing and more product placement. I honestly think they changed a lot because of peoples backlash of it. Its the main reason fans should shut the [frick] about complaints when movies are still in production. They just scare movie studios from taking gratifying risks.
BaneSmash - 8/7/2014, 10:20 AM
I really enjoyed the interaction between the turtles and Master splinter can throw down!!!
BaneSmash - 8/7/2014, 10:22 AM
He was pretty badass.
incepshawn - 8/7/2014, 10:22 AM
@mysterion NONE of the TMNT films have a fresh rating on RT.
Superheromoviefan - 8/7/2014, 10:49 AM
@broncodave83 - Hear other people opinions help you to open widder your horizon. If you don't then your brain will be close minded.

kalelhawj - 8/7/2014, 11:35 AM
Looks great... they seem to have the Turtle's personality down... Cannot wait for tonight...
broncodave83 - 8/7/2014, 11:54 AM
@MrSuperheromoviefan: That's true and hearing someone else's opinion is fine. But when you decide to let those opinions influence whether or not you see a movie, then that's just dumb. You should see it because it interests you.
Dedpool - 8/7/2014, 12:00 PM
@ Monkeyballs - Have you ever watched the animated series, or seen the original movie? All have the same sort of juvenile humor (BECAUSE THEY'RE TEENS) and that scene above is pretty much par for the course for them. I swear it's like people forget they're teenagers. They're going to say and do some pretty dumb stuff, cause that's what teenagers (especially this generation that's all pop-culture ruled) do. If you don't like it don't watch it. But don't hate on the material cause that same line could ewasily be in the comic, tv series, or any other iteration of the turtles. That's Mikey for you! and I mean Michelangelo not Michael Bay.
monkeyballs - 8/7/2014, 12:11 PM
Dedpool - stop trying to change my mind. I grew up with the comics. I saw both of the original movies. I had the toys. I played the arcade game (IN an arcade!). This movie looks dumb as shit. I'll hate on it because I feel like it. It's another Michael Bay Fart Fest. The man has never directed one good movie. Not one. I don't expect him to produce a film any better than he can direct it. By the way, I won't watch it. Thanks for the advice :)
Superheromoviefan - 8/7/2014, 12:21 PM
@broncodave83 - No. If you have critics that you trust and they say it's not a good movie than you don't have to spend money on bad movies, only in good movies. Don't forget not many people have the time and the money to see all the movies so critics help you to see only the ones they deserve it. Let's not forget good and bad movies have the same price.
kalelhawj - 8/7/2014, 12:23 PM
@monkeyballs - You aren't a true turtle fan if you're skipping out this one. I don't blame you if you hate on the film after you have seen it... I bet if Marvel Studio name was on this movie you'll watch in a heart beat... So far from those that I know who were lucky enough to see it early have rave about how good it is. Some even like it better than GOTG...
broncodave83 - 8/7/2014, 12:41 PM
@MrSuperheromoviefan: No. If you're a fan of movies, like everyone on this site, then you're going to see what you want, no matter what people say. We've all liked a movie at some point that critics have bashed and we've all disliked a movie that critics greatly approved of. It personal opinion. If you don't have the time or money then fine, wait to see it later if you truly want to. So, we can agree to disagree on this point and move on.
Namor - 8/7/2014, 1:12 PM
I can't wait to see this! Looks like they Nailed it!
Dedpool - 8/7/2014, 1:12 PM
@ Monkeyballs - Well then I guess it's a good thing that Bay isn't directing this huh? All he's doing is putting his money in, he's been pretty much hands off other than making sure Kevin Eastman was involved.

No one is trying to change your mind. I was making a point that to hate cause of a line that would be in ANY version of the turtles is kinda silly. I mean you're saying you're a fan, but at the same time you're hating on the movie (which you haven't and aren't going to see) because of something that is historically part of what makes the turtles who they are. Now if you just want to be on the Bay-haters bandwagon, go right ahead. It seems like a popular ride.
Me and my lil one are gonna enjoy some TMNT!
