Bradley Cooper Exits The Crow, Channing Tatum A Possible Replacement?

Bradley Cooper Exits The Crow, Channing Tatum A Possible Replacement?

THR report that Cooper has left Juan Carlos Fresnadillo's remake of The Crow, and that another couple of actors may now be circling the role..

I wish I could tell fans of James O'Barr's ground breaking comic that they could breathe a sigh of relief. For although Bradley Cooper will not be playing Eric Draven in Relativity Media's remake, just wait and see who might be.

From THR..

Bradley Cooper was to have played the title character but sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that he has now exited due to scheduling conflicts. Cooper has David O. Russell’s Silver Linings Playbook shooting this fall and then dives straight into Legendary’s Paradise Lost, which shoots first quarter next year…the exact time Relativity plans on making the high-priority Crow.

But akin to the project’s rock musician who is killed and resurrected, two new names have surfaced as possible replacements: Channing Tatum and Mark Wahlberg.

Yes, as well as Mark Wahlberg who was previously in talks we have Channing God damn Tatum. I swear if you asked me to pick three actors that could be any more wrong for this role than the three above I couldn't. Anyway, it's by no means a done deal that either will take over as THR report that others may join the hunt-But that Relativity are keen to waste little time.

What do you guys make of this?

I will be so pissed if Channing Tatum is the Crow. The dude is a horrible actor and is way overrated. I cant believe they are going to tarnish Brandon Lee's The Crow by hiring this guy.
JordanKing - 8/15/2011, 6:44 PM

I'm not familiar with The Crow, but anything with Tatum in it spells a disaster.

My sympathy goes out to all you Crow fans.

I was not done yet.

Talontd - 8/15/2011, 6:53 PM
I really don't know what happened to Tatum. He seemed like a great new up & comer in A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints opposite Rosario Dawson, Robert Downey Jr. and Shia LaBouf....but just about EVERY movie since he has been atrocious...

I would say it may have been the director, but this is the same guy that directed The Fighter...

Regardless, Tatum is the last person on Earth that should playing this role...

Joseph Gordon-Levitt anyone???
themayer88 - 8/15/2011, 6:53 PM
i will [frick]ing shoe bomb channing Tatums house if he plays the Crow!!
awful actor. ruins every movie he is in
Sarah - 8/15/2011, 7:01 PM
I never watchd the original, but from what I've hear about it and the fact that both Channing and Mark dont fit the bill, I think its best if this project dies b4 it lives
BatEagle74 - 8/15/2011, 7:02 PM
Channing Tatum sure is getting wailed on, called terrible, atrocious actor. Good to see that everyone who's dissing him is such an incredible actor themselves. Why don't you guys audition for The Crow? Oh wait... that's right, you're shitting on someone but that doesn't mean you have any clue what you're talking about...
DaenerysTargaryen - 8/15/2011, 7:02 PM
Dammit I hate that Channing tatum.
JDUKE25 - 8/15/2011, 7:04 PM
@BatEagle74 I'm sorry you feel offended Channing Tatum.
BatEagle74 - 8/15/2011, 7:05 PM
@ Talontd I agree, JGL would make a good Draven
Checkmate - 8/15/2011, 7:06 PM
Channing Tatum or Mark Wahlberg? LOL.
They need to look harder.
JDUKE25 - 8/15/2011, 7:06 PM
@Talontd I will also agree with you about JGL. Heck of an actor
RorMachine - 8/15/2011, 7:07 PM
Hey Bateagle, I'm not a chef either but I still know when my steak tastes like shit.
ironpool007 - 8/15/2011, 7:11 PM
I was actually hoping Bradley Cooper took this part.

cable23 - 8/15/2011, 7:13 PM
@BatEagle74 You dont have to be an actor to know if a person can act.
DarkHierophant - 8/15/2011, 7:13 PM
I thought Cooper was a poor choice... now we get a battery operated mannequin? FFS
SigmaCenturion - 8/15/2011, 7:16 PM
both replacements suck.

Sweet Christmas, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CHANNING TATUM?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

::kills self::
HeadlessJensen - 8/15/2011, 7:26 PM
I have a feeling neither replacement will happen. It just doesn't seem likely to me.
DarkHierophant - 8/15/2011, 7:26 PM
I should report you, but I'm no snitch.
patriautism - 8/15/2011, 7:28 PM
Joseph Gordon-Levitt for sure...
Watch Hesher and you will see why..
RunDTC - 8/15/2011, 7:29 PM
@patriautism: great choice
Monrogue - 8/15/2011, 7:32 PM
lmao @Ror. Bateagle must love him some Channing Tatum. I don't think he'd make a good Crow. I still don't see why there even needs to be a remake of The Crow. The original was awesome and Tatum sure as hell can't replace Lee in that role!
Hardy35 - 8/15/2011, 7:34 PM
There are dogs/cats with better acting skills than channing "Gay"tum. I'd rather chew glass than watch this moronic actor (Can I even call him an actor?) try to play an epic role. You got to be kidding. I'd rather see ALF play the crow.
DarthTesla - 8/15/2011, 7:37 PM
Jared Leto would make an awesome Draven!
Lokibegoodstick - 8/15/2011, 7:38 PM
just speechless.....
Ghostt - 8/15/2011, 7:42 PM
i'm sick of these fuggo actors being talked about for this movie. The producers clearly have no vision and apparently they also hate the Crow mythology.

How about an up and comer like this guy--Rain from Ninja Assassin
Ninja Assasin Pictures, Images and Photos

TheGreatone0207 - 8/15/2011, 7:43 PM
Bradley Cooper would have sucked. Channing Tattum is the worst actor on the planet. Joseph Gordon-Levitt would be great. But The Crow is a classic. They need to leave it alone
Elfatboy007 - 8/15/2011, 7:44 PM
BatEagle74 - 8/15/2011, 7:45 PM
@ Ror Lol That's the kind of response I was looking for lol
ALmighty1080 - 8/15/2011, 7:56 PM
tatum?? wth?? find an unknown if your gonna try to reboot this.
superpooper - 8/15/2011, 7:59 PM
Sorry, but the Crow died with Jason Lee, and out of respect to him it should stay that way. The other two actors sucked ass at trying to replace him, and I doubt it will be any different no matter who is cast. He owned that role. Let it rest in peace.
BatEagle74 - 8/15/2011, 8:04 PM
@superpooper You mean Brandon Lee
