After a particle accelerator causes a freak storm, CSI Investigator Barry Allen is struck by lightning and falls into a coma. Months later he awakens with the power of super speed, granting him the ability to move through Central City like an unseen guardian angel. Though initially excited by his newfound powers, Barry is shocked to discover he is not the only “meta-human” who was created in the wake of the accelerator explosion — and not everyone is using their new powers for good. Barry partners with S.T.A.R. Labs and dedicates his life to protect the innocent. For now, only a few close friends and associates know that Barry is literally the fastest man alive, but it won’t be long before the world learns what Barry Allen has become…The Flash.

As those of you who managed to check out the leaked pilot episode of The Flash will surely agree, the special effects in the series are very impressive. This video offers up an interesting behind-the-scenes look at how they acheived those and several other elements of the pilot, and be sure to stay tuned for more on this new DC Comics show as the premiere date gets closer!

October... That's how long we have to wait to watch the second episode.

I guess we brought it on ourselves by eating the forbidden fruit.

I'm holding on off watching the pilot. I would rather wait to watch it on TV.

I guess Sean Connery is still bitter over doing Never Say Never Again.

FOOM - 7/5/2014, 2:34 PM
Still remain pretty underwelmed by this. Could be wrong but I still don't smell a huge hit here.
113 - 7/5/2014, 8:26 PM
I liked the pilot more than Arrow so I've got high hopes for the show.
jimdotbeep - 7/5/2014, 10:43 PM
Yeah it's got something for everyone... except for fans of the actual comic.
JediPhilosopher - 7/6/2014, 5:43 PM
I saw the pilot and generally liked it. I still hate the suit and hope the actor can get himself looking more super-heroic. The moment of "Cool" with Green Arrow was ridiculously goofy. I almost start laughing just thinking about it. Seriosuly though, it's a CW show. It will turn into a darker-than-it-needs-to-be soap opera full of needless blame and self-doubt all around and hurt feelings and irrational reckless retaliation, etc.
I hope I'm wrong, though, but I speak from experience.
jimdotbeep - 7/6/2014, 6:13 PM
@JediPhilosopher Thank you. It's nice to see somebody else understand you can't turn everything into a gritty Batman Wannabe.
marvelmaniaco - 7/7/2014, 2:54 AM
Everyone make sure to watch the episode again when it's released on tv! Otherwise it won't get the ratings it deserves and needs! Just a heads up!
cmay13 - 7/7/2014, 4:59 AM
I guess I'm one of like 10 people who wants to wait to watch the pilot on tv lol
DrKinsolving - 7/7/2014, 5:26 AM
I'm sure this has been asked before, but does anyboy know if the Tv show is connected to the DCCU??

or are they going to do separate castings for Flash and Green Arrow, or are Flash and Green Arrow even going to be in the DCCU??
Darlene1974 - 7/7/2014, 6:08 AM
Amazing pilot episode!... I know its never gonna happen BUT it would be awesome if these tv versions of The Flash & Green Arrow, are both IN the DCCU!!!... but I call that wishful thinking!
