'Vibe' Set To Become A Regular Character In The CW's Take On THE FLASH?

Not too long ago, Geoff Johns reintroduced 'Vibe' in "The New 52" Universe as a member of the Justice League of America, resulting in him getting his own short-lived series in the process. Well, a new report claims that the hero is now being brought to the small screen as part of The Flash!

So far, we know that Iris West and her father will be supporting characters in the CW's The Flash series, but Moviehole claims that we should also expect to see Vibe in the David Nutter-directed pilot next year. It's believed that the hero could become a regular on the series should he prove to be popular enough, but there's currently no word on whether or not he will be portrayed with his powers. For those of you who don't know, Francisco "Cisco" Ramon stepped into a boom tube created by Darkseid, resulting in the death of his brother. However, the process left his body altered, allowing him to create not only seismic vibrations but also to be able to sense beings from other dimensions, even as small as an insect. This news really shouldn't come as too much of a surprise, especially as The Flash writer Geoff Johns has made it clear that he's a fan of the character, and writer/producer Andrew Kreisberg actually wrote Vibe's solo series. How do you guys feel about this latest development? Be sure to sound off with your thoughts in the usual place!

They will have other DC characters that haven't't been on Arrow. It's a new show. The same universe. They will have Stephen Amell appear on the show at least once to establish everything is connected. Other villians will be set. Just like Deadshot, Deathstroke, The Huntress & other heroes such as Black Canary. The Huntress was briefly a vigilante hero with Oliver.

good a chance for a Hispanic actor to finally be a hero in live action media
megabatfan - 12/26/2013, 4:47 AM
Don't know much about Vibe, but I hope the character is welcomed by audiences and this gives the big wigs behind these types of shows the confidence to expand on the DC television universe. Superheroes, super-powers, super-villains, costumes, the whole nine yards... BRING IT!!!
AgeofApocalypse - 12/26/2013, 4:49 AM
There are Vibe fans?!?
BruceWayneNewton - 12/26/2013, 4:58 AM
I like the sound of a relatively unknown hero joining up with the flash. Also, it opens the door to have beings from other dimensions on the show. The flash show isn't going to be as violent as arrow but will kick ass for other reasons like special effects
Enphlieuwince - 12/26/2013, 5:01 AM
Yeah, I hope they use a hispanic actor. Sounds promising, just DON'T drop that dun dun... I mean, don't connect it to the DCCU.
Enphlieuwince - 12/26/2013, 5:05 AM
This Vibe character's power give me a whole Havoc... vibe.
gambgel - 12/26/2013, 5:05 AM
cant wait for The Flash series to start, really loved Barry on Arrow and the actor clearly has potential to bring a great leading role

Just did some reading about the character. I actually prefer the original version over the new 52 version. The original version would be a great way to introduce meta-humans to the universe. He could also start off as a minor villain as part of the street gang before becoming an ally. I like that dynamic. Or maybe they'll take elements of the two versions.

First, they decide to go against a recent, well-established mythology by replacing Darryl Frye with "Detective West".

Then, they decide to make a random racial change in an already established character by making Iris West black.

Now, they introduce an unpopular, bland character in the show.

I'm a huge Flash fan and I'm rooting for this series to work. But those constant changes have gotten me more and more worried.

I don't know who vibe is but Im excited have faith in them should be cool
SoundWave - 12/26/2013, 5:30 AM
Nice! More superpowers, more comic book characters!
sameoldthing - 12/26/2013, 5:35 AM
Hate this character, can't believe he has his own book & now will be featured on tv? Noooo!

It has nothing to do with his race...he has awful name, costume & powers.
Literally thousands of cooler characters should have own book/be on tv.

Great news!
RichardBoldly - 12/26/2013, 5:54 AM

So name them NOW.

Ready? Go!
Enphlieuwince - 12/26/2013, 5:56 AM
@SuperCat, lol!
Super12 - 12/26/2013, 5:57 AM
For the sake of the show I hope he doesn't have his powers for at least a season or two. It'd be a cool character to explore more without his powers first, plus it'd be great to get a real Hispanic hero on tv. I bet it'll be good!

There aren't vibe fans. These so called fans just eat up anything Geoff johns says.
AlternateNo4 - 12/26/2013, 6:47 AM
i like vibe okay... i'm too old for him to be a favorite character, but i like him. i'm just not sure how interesting his powers would really be in a non-cosmic show. ooh, he can shake stuff... but can't barry kind of do that anyway?

i was kind of hoping for static, actually... i feel like the explosion could kind of give them a way to explain him. but i don't think they could afford the special effects for static.
dckizzle - 12/26/2013, 6:48 AM
More characters the better
MightyZeus - 12/26/2013, 6:49 AM
Cool i guess. I just want to see The Flash's costume.
JoeMomma29 - 12/26/2013, 6:56 AM
Well that is a very interesting choice to say the least. Vibe is not awesome nor terrible but I am curious how he will come off. Anyways it is good to finally get a Hispanic character finally!
Matchow - 12/26/2013, 6:56 AM
I'm down. Vibe is great, minus the original stereotypical dialogue he would get in the Classic Detroit League.
Optimus83 - 12/26/2013, 6:59 AM
I want to see Owlman in DC TV Series Universe. ...¡¡¡NOW!!!
Optimus83 - 12/26/2013, 7:01 AM
I want to see Copperhead in DC TV Series Universe. ...¡¡¡NOW!!!!
Optimus83 - 12/26/2013, 7:08 AM
I want to see Metamorpho in DC TV Series Universe. ...¡¡¡NOW!!!!
BANEofExistence - 12/26/2013, 7:25 AM
Good idea for a Hispanic superheroto get some limelight! Really only other well known Hispanics would be Kyle Rayner (GL) and Bane... Kind of a cool mix considering the powers of superspeed and seismic vibrations...
JoeMomma29 - 12/26/2013, 7:25 AM
LOL! What will be funny is that The Flash show will cameo more actual characters from the comicbooks than Agents of Something in its first season.
BANEofExistence - 12/26/2013, 7:26 AM
On a side note, I think this show will be above arrow considering Barrys Rogues (Captain Cold, Mirror Master, Heatwave, Trickster, Captain Boomerang and Weather Wizard and the Top) will be contiuous threats
VISIONaryNPa - 12/26/2013, 7:32 AM
is he going to be played by a 15 year old actor?
Optimus83 - 12/26/2013, 7:32 AM

@ BANEofExistence

Great point! Do not forget the Zoom story that has already been setup!
JoeMomma29 - 12/26/2013, 7:37 AM

I am not sure maybe they can borrow the one kid they are going to use on Agents of Shield!
TheGreenBastard - 12/26/2013, 7:44 AM
Cool, I'd be okay with this. Vibe's New 52 update has been pretty good so far.
typicalfanboy - 12/26/2013, 7:46 AM
Maybe the Hispanic flash the justice league movie is looking for is actually vibe. Well that's what el mayimbe say at least...about the Hispanic flash I mean
TheGreenBastard - 12/26/2013, 8:04 AM
Yea, but Eh Maybe is a joke.
ThePowerCosmic - 12/26/2013, 8:41 AM

Whats funny is that Marvel will have 4 films out in 2014. How 'bout DC? I'd rather have the films than a CW show. Thought I'd throw some troll right back at ya' since you obviously wanted to start something.
carrowsboy - 12/26/2013, 8:48 AM
So I guess DC finally gave up on trying to shove Jaime Reyes down our throats at all costs?
