prolly not well enough to risk watching the spirit. but i dunno i love his odd take on batman in all star. different but enjoyable. his work on daredevil is groundbreaking. it paved the way for smith and bendis to up the ante on the character he made famous

This is as good a place to mention this as any, but why is it that everybody refers to Wolverine's 4 issue miniseries as 'Miller's Japan miniseries' when it was writen by Claremont and drawn by Miller? Admitedly, artists often provide some input to a story they're drawing, but still, you wouldn't say 'Dave Gibbons' Watchmen'

Wouldn't say Gibbons' Watchmen? lol. I beg to differ - the movie has his name plastered all over it....for obvious reasons - BUT STILL.....it can happen.
The Spirit was sh!t - I shut it off after about 15 minutes - right at the part where Samuel L Jackson is dressed up like a samurai - I didn't get it. It wasn't funny - it wasn't stylish - it wasn't good. Very sad. The only thing I enjoyed was the over the top violence in that first fight - very funny, but the dialogue was atrocious man.....it wasn't even 'throwback' good....just awful.

I only got 8/10 by the way. I thought I got 10 - but meh - maybe a trick question spanked my chances.

I see how GEEKS get their name lol!!!! : D ... Oh yeah, by the way i thought THE SPIRIT was cool! Though to be fair, just like WANTED ive never read the comic book, so to die hard fans it was probably crap. But i enjoyed it, gonna get the Blue ray!

Never read a SPIRIT comic in my life. I've read some of Frank's well known comic stuff - and loved the film adaptations, but this Spirit movie was god awful. And I was rooting for it to be good. I don't think all the delicious drugs in the world can make this movie tolerable.

Oh yeah! Aced it baby. I love Miller, TDKR and Sin City are amazing. And allstar Batman is the best current comic out there..if only they would release a new [frick]ing issue already! Havnt seen the Spirit..and dont intend to!

This movie looked like shit at the teaser trailer. And listening to Miller praise it, especially when the Spirit slips when he jumps, reminds me of when you have a friend that describes their new girl as a knockout and they look like a Troll doll....

Dude i read lots of comics! I just love Millers take on Batman and he even makes Robin likeable..plus he has excellent takes on the rest of DCs big name players. The only other things that come close at the mo are Wolerine:Old Man Logan, X Force, The Boys and maybe The Goon

Duuuuuuuude
Don't get me wrong, All-Star Batman is good for laughs and in small doses, the Boys and OML are great, but there are many better comic books, some perhaps less accesable, like 100 Bullets, Scalped, Brubaer's Daredevil and Criminal.
Still, if that's the type of thing you like, then I'm glad you enjoy it.

Brubakers DD is good..but again i dont think it compares to Millers run all those years ago. 100 Bullets i have only read sporadically but i like it. Not familiar with the other 2. There are too many titles out there to read everything..i mostly follow the writers. Unfortunately Neil Gaimen and Alan Moore aint writing much these days. Jeph Loeb seems to have swallowed a mediocrity pill and we have to wait until after the find a new Batman for Grant Morrisons new stuff!
