New Fan Favorite Character To Be Introduced In THE WALKING DEAD

People have been getting killed off left and right during this season of The Walking Dead. Now, according to Robert Kirkman, we can expect a new character that is a fan favorite from the comic series to make their debut in live action.

Robert Kirkman sat down with the people over at Entertainment Weekly to talk about AMC's hit Zombie show The Walking Dead. During the chat Krikman revealed that major things are in store for the upcoming Fall finale. One of the major things is that you can expect is a new character to be revealed. Not only is it a new character, but it's a fan favorite from the comic series. "There’s a new character added. A big deal fan favorite from the comic book is introduced into the show in this episode, so be on the lookout for that," explained Kirkman. EW speculates that the character in question is none other than Tyreese. While this has not been confirmed there is some substantial evidence to back this up.

Tyreese was professional football player before the Zombie outbreak. In the comics he comes to the survivors after they have just lost Shane, and are in desperate need of some physical help. With the Kirkamn teasing that the character is a fan favorite it would be no shock that it could turn out to be Tyreese. Fans have been asking for some time when we might see him. Actor Chad Coleman (The Wire) has been spotted on the Atlanta set here recently, with no mention of what his role might be. Speculation has it that Coleman has been tasked with bringing Tyreese to life.

Keep in mind Tyreese is NOT confirmed. It just seems like right now it is a high likely hood that the character will be him. You can catch The Walking Dead which stars Andrew Lincon, Chandler Riggs, Norman Reedus, Lori Holden, Melissa McBride, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, and David Morrissey, Sundays at 9P.M. on AMC.

DioFoRio - 11/15/2012, 1:56 PM
it is Tyresse. Called it when they first showed that black dude with the vest and tan camo pants. They've showed him twice and he's wearing the same thing in the background. KNEW IT!!!
mk - 11/15/2012, 1:56 PM
Its tyreese probably.. since talking dead said Carol is dead.
DioFoRio - 11/15/2012, 1:56 PM

DioFoRio - 11/15/2012, 1:57 PM
Carol isn't dead.
mk - 11/15/2012, 1:57 PM

mk - 11/15/2012, 1:57 PM

DioFoRio - 11/15/2012, 1:59 PM
I think it's a red herring MK
The laying of the gypsy rise. I think she's alive seems to contrived without a body for show

Better be Tyreese
TheAmazingSpidey63 - 11/15/2012, 2:22 PM

Well, let's hope so. I've been wondering when they were going to include him in The Walking Dead. :)
flash17 - 11/15/2012, 2:31 PM
I think Lori and Carol are both alive. No body, not dead. Lori's bones weren;t even on the floor and zombies can't eat bones they have teeth falling out already nothing to crunch them!

Tyreese is the man in the comics. Can't wait for him to be in the show. Chad Coleman looks just like him!
birdfists - 11/15/2012, 2:32 PM
I think the black guy from Woodbury will take the role of Tyreese.. which will really piss me off.
birdfists - 11/15/2012, 2:33 PM

Lori is dead, that walker dragged her around the corner where the blood trail leads, ate her, then walked a bit and fell there. That's what they said in Talking Dead..

Couldn't "Oscar" be Tyreese?
TheHawkWithin - 11/15/2012, 2:43 PM
I actually thought Woodbury's Bowman, or Shupert as he's known was going to turn out to be Tyreese, but I guess I was wrong. I hope they didn't introduce Tyreese just to cut his head off.
Duhdaduh - 11/15/2012, 3:06 PM
i guess i was wrong to assume it, but wasnt T-Dog supposed to be the show's version of Tyreese?
TayDee - 11/15/2012, 3:46 PM
I wonder how they'll introduce him, since he met the group a little before they found the prison.
Carne - 11/15/2012, 4:42 PM
Oh wow :D I suggested Chad Coleman as Tyreese over a year ago, so I hope this is true.
Tufasrox - 11/15/2012, 4:59 PM
Jesus!! Bring on Jesus!!
DarthTesla - 11/15/2012, 5:15 PM
Don't get me wrong, I love Tyreese, but what a screwy timeline of events.
jasonicus - 11/15/2012, 5:42 PM
@flash17, Lori is dead. It's been confirmed about 100 times now. Get over it.
Azrael725 - 11/15/2012, 6:30 PM
I feel like it would be cool if they added some kind of zombie apocalypse gunslinger character. Some drifter badass. IDK if that was ever in the comics but i think that would be cool. Maybe have Anson Mount from Hell on Wheels play him and have this weird crossover lol
TheHawkWithin - 11/15/2012, 6:33 PM
I just hope that the show doesn't have the attitude that there can only be one black guy at a time and kill off Oscar so Tyreese can be introduced. I'm really starting to warm up to the prisoners.
DioFoRio - 11/15/2012, 8:32 PM the dude in woodbury is tyreese
MisterNiceGuy - 11/16/2012, 7:31 AM
Azrael725 we got one better. We got Machonne...Katana's son!
knighted - 11/16/2012, 8:30 AM
Oscar will die before tyrese becomes a member of the group. There can be only one black at a time.
BubblesShedAndBreakfast - 11/16/2012, 9:13 AM
Well if it is him I wonder how long he will last and I wonder if he will leave the show the same way he left the comic? I don't wanna spoil anything for anyone that hasn't read the comic.
DJSpidey26 - 11/16/2012, 11:07 AM
wtf people learn to read! the characters name is Tyreese!
so that doesn't say that the actor tyreese will play the role!!!
satanors - 11/16/2012, 11:14 AM
We could use a "xombie" like zombie in this. or maybe atleast in the comic, for now.
ICStoopedPeople - 11/16/2012, 11:07 PM
I loved Chad Coleman's character in The Wire, but I didn't really care for his performance. I'd really need to see some of his other work before I'll be impressed with his acting chops. Physically though, he's a fantastic choice.
