There's been a lot of casualties in this season of The Walking Dead, but it looks as if Rick will soon be able to add a new recruit to his band of survivors. TV Line has now confirmed that Chad Coleman (The Green Hornet) has indeed joined the cast of the hit AMC series as fan-favourite character 'Tyreese'. The site even goes on to reveal that we should expect to see him as soon as next week, although whether his role in the show will differ to that of the comic book series remains to be seen. Are you looking forward to seeing the debut of the character? Sound off below.

UPDATE: TV Overmind reports that this season will also see the return of Lennie James as 'Morgan'; the man who Rick first met in season one while he was searching for 'Lori' and 'Carl'. However, they say that he will appear "From a Distance" rather than having any direct involvement in the conflict with 'The Governor'.

Far and away the best casting choice made since the show launched. Absolutely loved his performance in The Wire; he should really shine in TWD. Hopefully he survives for a long time.

MANofSHAZAM - 11/20/2012, 10:23 AM
I'd been hoping they'd add Tyrese. Especially because I wanted to see the Gym scene.

TheHawkWithin - 11/20/2012, 10:50 AM
I have a feeling they are going to show Morgan and his son celebrating Christmas, but he actually won't interact with the group until after they leave the prison.
Ghasst - 11/20/2012, 10:56 AM

Jaspion - 11/20/2012, 11:02 AM
I'll never understand people thinking T-Dog had something to do with Tyreese, he never did anything.

Chad Coleman is gonna killthis role, i just hope he doesnt take darylls spot as number two because if he does i have a feelin hes gonna die
birdfists - 11/20/2012, 10:21 PM
I think.. it's a weird time to add him, and try to make hi the friend to Rick that he was. And I think his death n the coimics is esential to his character, and is another thing that has a huge toll on Rick.

I won't spoil anything, but Rick had some big guilt there, and Tyreese showed himself as a real hero.
norseman79 - 11/20/2012, 11:17 PM
Tyreese rules. Happy to hear this.
EarOne - 11/21/2012, 2:15 AM
i never read the comics, so...WHO is this Tyrese guy..?? why is he a fan fave..??
Namor - 11/21/2012, 6:56 AM
I just saw him recently in last season finale of BURN NOTICE.. He was a standup guy in that episode and got killed at the end to save the GROUP .. He was great in the Wire of course.. Those are the only 2things i've seen em in, and he was good in both...

Great choice..
Namor - 11/21/2012, 7:02 AM
Not his first time playing a football player, albeit, retired in Walking dead.. He actually played OJ SIMPSON in Monday Night Mayhem back in 02.. Hes been doing his thing for awhile, and i didn't really realize that?
ElProfeto - 11/21/2012, 11:19 AM
thanks for ruining it asshole! cbm should implement a policy that states something along the lines of you can't give the spoiler away in the [frick]ing title!!!!!!! I can't even look at your site w/o this dickhead ruining what I don't want to know yet! thanks bitch
jameshowlett2151 - 11/21/2012, 5:03 PM
Kind of.ironic that a guy names Elprofeto, aka the profit, would be so passionate about avoiding spoilers?! Just calm down buddy, and pick a new user name why your at it.
TayDee - 11/25/2012, 12:45 PM
I wonder how Tyreese will meet with them considering he was apart of the group who discovered the prison.
