Chris Hemsworth Says Thor Stays True to Comics

Thor, Chris Hemsworth, speaks with Access Hollywood giving more juicy details on Thor. Check it out.

Now speaking with Access Hollywood Chris Hemsworth talks more Thor. It seems his bother's premiere of "The Last Song" gave him the chance to talk more Thor than ever.

"Thor” will satisfy fanboys and girls hoping to see the hammer-wielding superhero they’ve come to love from the Marvel comic book."

“I have the hammer, it’s pretty true to the comics. I have a long blond wig and a nice big red cape and all sorts of armor and interesting bits and pieces.”

“There’s so many different versions of the comic books, they’ve sort of bonded quite a few of them to form this particular story, but it’s all very true to the original stuff,”

“We started in January, and we’re three quarters of the way through at the moment and it’s going really well.”

"I have the hammer, it’s pretty true to the comics,” Chris told Access Hollywood last week at “The Last Song” premiere in LA – which stars his brother Liam and Miley Cyrus. “I have a long blond wig and a nice big red cape and all sorts of armor and interesting bits and pieces"

-Chris Hemsworth

I'm satisifed, the red cape was a must and considering that's on the costume that means ....NO ULTIMATE!!!! Thank god.

Can't WAIT for this movie.
InTylerWeTrust - 3/30/2010, 12:36 PM
Well I would hope so :)

But what's up with the Microsoft Points BS?
WolvieCBM - 3/30/2010, 12:37 PM

InstigatorGIRL - 3/30/2010, 12:37 PM

JLanphear - 3/30/2010, 12:41 PM

marvel72 - 3/30/2010, 12:54 PM

So... is it going really well or not??? No Anthony Hopkins beef??? So i guess that dude on Twitter was a tard. Then again... who knows if Hemsworth is telling the truth? It could ALL be one huge april fools joke!!! Like Evans being cast as Cap. LOL :P
DCMarvelFreshman - 3/30/2010, 1:06 PM
Chris, or anyone, isn't just gonna say the problems on the set, because he knows if he does, its gonna spur trouble for the film development. Media wise.

There is little trouble on every set. Its the finished product that shows whether or not those problems affect the film.
HaloMan2002 - 3/30/2010, 1:08 PM
I've actually had the pleasure of meeting Sir Hopkins and I can tell you from what I saw he was as nice as can be. I don't believe he would have an attitude problem on set. That Twitter guy is probably just full of it.
HelaGood - 3/30/2010, 1:12 PM
see i think all that BS about thor's cameo in prison in the IM2 trailer and anthony hopkins making problems on set is exactly that... B.S.
ATOMbomb - 3/30/2010, 1:14 PM
Last night I was thinkin it would be really cool if a big budget Swamp Thing movie was made. With Mark Wahlberg as Dr.Hollan/Swamp Thing and Bill Nighy as Dr.Arcane. I think there is something in the works, hope so. I Think those guys would be great and I think it would be cool if they had a really cool underwater scene of Dr.Holland merging with all the plant matter. Hate me if you want and btw I know it has nothing to do with Thor. Just puttin it out there.

FRESHMAN @ Cool stuff, though we kinda know its staying true but nice to get that extra confirmation about it!!

I still think CAPTAIN AMERICA's gonna be smelly dog turd though!
zemus - 3/30/2010, 1:30 PM
Notice when he said the "the hair, the wings and the cape" he only said "yea I have the wig and a big red cape". So is this enough to say no wings on the helmet?
DaenerysTargaryen - 3/30/2010, 1:32 PM

InTylerWeTrust - 3/30/2010, 1:59 PM

zemus - 3/30/2010, 1:30 PM "

Zemus, the interviewer didn't say 'wings', he said 'horns'. That's probably why Chris didn't respond to that part of his question.
Superheromoviefan - 3/30/2010, 2:29 PM
Sounds great.
peterparker420 - 3/30/2010, 2:35 PM
YA..that microsoft CRAP! gotta fill out
surveys and junk..waste of time! SORRY AGAIN!
RedDevil - 3/30/2010, 2:48 PM
Look at him, he is THOR!!!
Idk peeps but I think it is just me, but in this interview he looks bigger than the MTV one.
Can't wait to see him in costume.
InFamouslyCool - 3/30/2010, 3:00 PM
i wonder if he's muscular enough.
LordHuck - 3/30/2010, 3:25 PM

It definitely looks like Thor will go with a solid 616 comic outfit while he is running around in Asguard.

We still may see his Ultimate look when he comes to earth and joins up with the Avengers. His “Casual street clothes” look so to speak.
StarsandStraps - 3/30/2010, 3:37 PM
Thor can take a punch from The Hulk, but he needs armor?...
StarsandStraps - 3/30/2010, 3:38 PM
Oh, and you better believe he'll have the winged helmet -- Marvel/Disney will want to sell toys of it, like they do with Iron Man's helmet, and Hulk's hands.
