New Images From THOR: THE DARK WORLD Surface

Scans from the Official Movie Magazine for Thor: The Dark World have emerged offering a new look at Thor, Jane Foster, Darcy, Odin, Loki and Malekith. Though not in the greatest quality, check it out!

Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all. It opens in theaters November 8, 2013.

So Malekith[sp?] has scars on that side of his face, then get's burned on that side as well. I guess the universe doesn't like that side of his face.
thalidomide - 10/15/2013, 5:39 AM

Darcy is a hidden character - Thor's Mom?
knocturnalzen10 - 10/15/2013, 6:03 AM
Omega is correct it's showing more loki highlights then thor , mostly likely because of his performance in avengers. hope marvel doesn't start making business moves with the movies an loose the core of the material
PLUSH - 10/15/2013, 6:04 AM

TelaVizion - 10/15/2013, 6:36 AM
I just found out 3 minutes of Guardians of the Galaxy was shown at NYCC during the Marvel Unlimited Plus panel.... If I had known that would happen, I would have paid for Unlimited plus to be there.

And to get the sample for Wolverine Origins 2 cover. I'm gonna go in the corner to cry now.
IcemanX - 10/15/2013, 6:38 AM

Will they ever go into detail about Odin's Eye, i.e. the story of Mimir's Well?
soforizo - 10/15/2013, 7:19 AM

I understand your concerns, I got them too in the back of my mind. I don't mind seeing Loki in the sequel, but this needs to flesh out Thor himself more.

I don't want to see Loki in another sequel becoming pulling a 'Tony Stark', so lets hope Thor is further developed as well as some remnants of his old arrogance mixed in.

Overall TDW is looking great, the action is more like what I want to see out of a Thor movie
GinjaNinja - 10/15/2013, 7:21 AM
Maybe another flash back nicipoo
But I think its just they will leave it that he lost it in the war

So how much will this movie make? Me, all I want it to do is make at least $300M domestically. To do so, it needs to open with $110 weekend take. It will do that if the reviews are positive. here is my prediction:

opening weekend, Friday to Sunday: $110M
Monday to Thursday, Week 1: $40M ($150M total)
Weekend 2: $55M ($205M)
M-T, Wk 2: $20M ($225M)
Weekend 3: $27M ($252M)
M-T, Wk 3: $15M ($267M) Thanksgiving Day Week
Weekend 4: $20M ($287M) Thanksgiving day weekend
M-T, Wk 4: $7M ($294M)
Weekend 5: $5M ($299M)
M-T, Wk 5: $3M ($302M)
Weekend 6: $2M ($304M)

It will then slowly creep to $310M domestically. This all depends on positive to very positive reviews and a $110M opening weekend. Box office is actually pretty predictable, with a few givens.
GinjaNinja - 10/15/2013, 7:47 AM
Woah I made wall of fame this week month. :) Ima cry.
GinjaNinja - 10/15/2013, 7:48 AM
if it gets good reviews, this movie should make over 500 million.
GinjaNinja - 10/15/2013, 7:52 AM
The first one made 450 million, and that was without the Avengers and IM3. And without very good reviews. So expect this one to make a lot of cash.
Aeyan - 10/15/2013, 7:53 AM
I wanna see the helmet goddamn it!
Ocelot - 10/15/2013, 7:58 AM
Where the [frick] is Kurse or Algrim ffs.
MsDarkPhoenix - 10/15/2013, 9:51 AM
Count all the Loki fangirls, this movie will make A LOT of money
BigThor - 10/15/2013, 9:58 AM
Loki can't really outshine Thor in my opinion, their characters are too different. Thor's more straight forward and stoic while Loki's cunning and manipulative, it just depends on which characterstic you like more.
GinjaNinja - 10/15/2013, 10:30 AM
Wouldn't be suprised if this made in the 800-1b range. But i'm putting my money on 750mil or so.
BigThor - 10/15/2013, 10:48 AM
Agreed ^
GinjaNinja - 10/15/2013, 12:35 PM
IM3 was a solid b+. I'm betting this one will be an A or an A+.
