Michael Bay Reveals That Chinese Superstar Han Geng Has Joined The Cast Of TRANSFORMERS 4

You may not have heard of Han Geng, but in China, he's a singer and actor dubbed the "King of Popularity". Transformers 4 director Michael Bay has now revealed that he is the latest addition to the cast of the movie. Read on for details!

Michael Bay has released the following statement confirming that Han Geng has joined the cast of Transformers 4. Paramount are clearly making more of an effort than Disney and Marvel did with their recent Chinese co-production Iron Man 3 and this is a good sign that they're taking the commitment seriously. "He’s one of Asia’s top stars in the worlds of music, television and movies and has become one of the most influential entertainers in China," said Bay. "Now he’ll also be known for Transformers 4. Welcome Han Geng to the cast of Transformers 4." Directed by Michael Bay and starring Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci and Kelsey Grammer, the fourth Transformers movie is set to be released on June 27th, 2014.

santoanderson - 7/14/2013, 10:23 AM
So is Transformers 4 going to have the same ridiculous pro-Chinese propaganda scenes that Iron Man 3 had?
CherryBomb - 7/14/2013, 10:23 AM
I'm a big Super Junior fan <3

I bet this is when they find out the Transformers were made in China and is the reason Sam Witwicky has lead poisoning.

Everybody's sucking China's D*** these days. They sabotage the rest of the world's economy with their draconian human rights laws and use of cheap child labor and we sit back and take their lead-laced cock right down our throats while wearing our $5 production cost Air Jordans.

...oh well, what comes around goes around. We did the same thing to them centuries ago.

no one can save the transformers franchise! but I must say I'm looking forward to the usage of the digital IMAX camera's! ;) XD :D

Good news for me is when they announce a Transformers movie without Micheal Bay.

@jett...that is a cool design! Wish they went a lil simpler on the movie designs.
DioFoRio - 7/14/2013, 11:40 AM
Taking bets on how much his scene will be cut just to feature in the over seas version.

This is how messed up this movie already is.

mgeoff88 - 7/14/2013, 12:11 PM
I've never heard of this guy before. The only reasons I'm interested in TF4 is because of Mark Wahlberg and Kelsey Grammer.

@teabag I feel like he is looking at me in a judgmental way. Like I did something bad... He must know I was the one who took the cookie from the cookie jar. :P
xXkryptoniteXx - 7/14/2013, 12:24 PM
It's all about the foreign money
Mcpc - 7/14/2013, 12:29 PM
@santoanderson: You're really complaining about "pro-Chinese propaganda" in Transformers when ALL THREE of the other movies were blatant shills for the US and its military? (And no doubt this one will be as well).
marvel72 - 7/14/2013, 12:35 PM
"CHING-CHING" now you got the chinese market covered.
Shaggy - 7/14/2013, 12:43 PM
is the Gusto and teabag?
Satanistpanther - 7/14/2013, 1:07 PM
[frick] Michael Bay, [frick] China. . I'll tell ya one day China's gonna [frick] the whole world. . #Take Control
InfiniteMonkey - 7/14/2013, 1:25 PM
He's actually quite a talented bloke if you listen to Asian pop. He's also into everything else.
How he is going to contribute to this movie is anyone's guess but they couldn't have done any better.
teabag - 7/14/2013, 1:33 PM
Splenda@ It's a hellova workout for me..pushing that bastard with all that heavy metal inside him he got from Nam :(

After the Pro-America Trilogy of TF,we'll have the the new Pro-China Trilogy just to cover the whole audience, yeah that's great -_- and in fact Iron Shit 3 teach that worth.
Tevii - 7/14/2013, 2:01 PM
Anything to appeal to the worlds second largest movie market. Bring on the chinese version of Justin bieber
MegaPrime1107 - 7/14/2013, 2:02 PM
@Jobin I care buddy
MegaPrime1107 - 7/14/2013, 2:02 PM
@Spideyman Which is why TF3 made 1 billion dollars and Pacific Rim is only #3 on its first weekend....audience prefer TF
MegaPrime1107 - 7/14/2013, 2:03 PM
@Spideyman Oh and TF3 was the fourth highest grossing film by the end of its theatrical run. Now it's sixth which is good (due to IM3 and The Avengers)
MegaPrime1107 - 7/14/2013, 2:08 PM
@Spideyman And before you go and say that the numbers don't mean anything, well they do. The audience pay, and a lot of people went to see the movie. While Pacific Rim has better reviews (Rotten Tomatoes), TF3 has a better reception from the audience at Rotten Tomatoes than Pacific Rim. I bet you that the producers paid critics to praise Pacific Rim.
MegaPrime1107 - 7/14/2013, 2:09 PM
My sister loves action movies, especially Transformers 2, so you'd think she would want to see Pacific Rim. Her exact words were, "It looks stupid". Pacific Rim targeted mostly fanboy, no offense to anyone.
