TRANSFORMERS 4 Casts Jack Reynor; New Trilogy Confirmed

TRANSFORMERS 4 Casts Jack Reynor; New Trilogy Confirmed

After previously being rumored for a lead role in the next Transformers movie, director Michael Bay has confirmed that What Richard Did's Jack Reynor has been cast in the first film of a new trilogy.

Shortly after Michael Bay denied recent casting additions to his fourth Transformers movie, young Irish actor Jack Reynor was rumored to be offered a lead role in the upcoming film, which has Mark Wahlberg signed on to star. Now, the director has taken to his official website to confirm that Reynor has been cast in Transformers 4 alongside Wahlberg, calling him "the real deal". He also addresses comments claiming that the four-quel was a reboot of the franchise, saying that the story is a natural transition from the last movie. Finally, Bay confirms that the film, which will be very different from the last three, will be the first of a brand new trilogy.

I just hired a great new actor for Transformers 4 to star against Mark Wahlberg. Jack Reynor, he is an Irish kid that came to America with 30 bucks in his pocket. Pretty ballsy. Seriously, who does that? Anyway I spotted him in a great little Irish movie WHAT RICHARD DID. This kid is the real deal.

Transformers 4 is not a reboot. That word has been floating around on the net.

This movie takes place exactly 4 years after the war in Chicago. The story makes a very natural transition, and reason as to why we have a whole new cast. This Transformers will feel very different then the last three. We are embarking on a new trilogy.

With filming beginning this May, Transformers 4 is set to hit theaters June 27th, 2014.

New trilogy? yup the Transformers movies are [frick]ed for another 4 to 5 years. Bay just stick making films like Pain and Gain dude, just stick to the pure guilty pleasure movies.
JatevinM - 1/8/2013, 1:07 PM
Any the very same people complaining about them are the same people who will be there opening weekend to see them.
Hellsing - 1/8/2013, 1:10 PM
@JatevinM actually I won't be there the opening weekend I'll be there on the 2nd weekend.
Sevairity - 1/8/2013, 1:14 PM
Eh, I'll probably be there opening night just for the entertainment. Transformers wasn't really a huge part of my childhood. Though the 2nd and 3rd movies BLEW HARD DICK CHEESE, I still saw them opening night in theaters.
polarkyle - 1/8/2013, 1:16 PM
can somebody other than bay please make these transformers movies. i mean seriousally
GetsugaTensho22 - 1/8/2013, 1:24 PM
Yeah, i won't be there either.
I liked the first movie, so i was there for the 2nd one. I hated it, but i thought it was an easily rectifiable mistake, which is why i was there for the 3rd one. I hated that too. So no, i've given up.
ToTheManInTheColdSweat - 1/8/2013, 1:31 PM
[frick] YES!!!!

hot girls, fast cars, big robots [frick] YES!!!

xRelentlessx - 1/8/2013, 1:47 PM
Why?! [frick] this shit.
shamo - 1/8/2013, 1:52 PM
well... it has Whalberg so i'll remain optimistic for now.. i guess.
CaptainObvious - 1/8/2013, 1:56 PM
Nobody in the movie will probably remember the war in Chicago. Despite the thousands of deaths, billions of dollars in damage, constant media attention, and the many Youtube videos that prove otherwise.
thewonderer - 1/8/2013, 2:03 PM
This makes me so sad.

Anyone play the War and Fall for/of Cybertron video games? The story AND music is nothing short of fantastic in those. So epic

[frick] you Michael Bay
AC1 - 1/8/2013, 2:09 PM
Bay has ruined Transformers for me. Used to collect the toys and watch the cartoon as a kid, now I can't stand anything to do with the franchise. And he's going to do the same to the TMNT, who I loved as a kid. Can't stand this guy's work.
thewonderer - 1/8/2013, 2:19 PM
I think Narutos pretty shitty though bro,

Anyway back to Transformers. Not only the video games but anyone watch Transformers Prime? Its geared towards kids but frankly, I DON'T find the humans annoying.

The show is great. So if you MUST include humans, do it right! No stupid "wanting to get the hot girl" subplots, no human dilemmas aside from the ones the Transformers directly cause.

Did this idiot just wrote "this Transformers will feel very different THEN the last three"

This idiot can't even write!!

& I think it'll be the first time EVER; that a director says that his next Film is NOT a reboot but another sequel & yet says that it'll be "Very Different" ... Well that's what's called a reboot, u fvcking jerk! New Cast, new story & "very Different" is what's called a Reboot!
Besides, your rebooting your own pieces of shit & then will make a few more pieces of shit!

Bullshit - BAYSHIT!
CaptainObvious - 1/8/2013, 2:33 PM
Transformers 2 is such a bad, illogical, and senseless mess that just thinking about it pisses me off. The movie itself is a thorn in my side. The fact that it made over $400M domestically still astounds me. It's not the worst movie ever, but to me, it's in the top 10 worst movies ever.
Warcam - 1/8/2013, 2:40 PM
Yayyyy.....more humans cast in a Transformers movie. NEXT!
TheMightyTroy - 1/8/2013, 2:50 PM
Less humans more Transformers
Mrcool210 - 1/8/2013, 3:00 PM
really? another trilogy? why did you idiots have to make the 3rd movie such a sucess?
TheAbomination - 1/8/2013, 3:39 PM
I'm trying to find a reason to care... ...but I can't.
Webhead007 - 1/8/2013, 3:44 PM
[frick] the humans. I wanna see the War of Cybotron!
darkjoker1 - 1/8/2013, 3:49 PM
-_-......make it stop theres no need for a crappy 4th one let me guess explosions, sexafing women, and a jar jar banks robot.......michal bay you suck at everything you make...
GhostKILLERgx7 - 1/8/2013, 3:58 PM
@thewonderer *slow clap* primus bless you sir.

as for these bay films........why 3? it's bad enough he's doing another one, but 3? this man just hates transformers. AND TRANSFORMERS HATES HIM!

AmazingFantasy - 1/8/2013, 3:59 PM
Make it like the Animated Movie or Fall of Cybtetron when we talk.
Bark4Soul - 1/8/2013, 4:54 PM
Least it means he wont have time for rape the tmnt franchise, which I am fine with.
KnobGoblin - 1/8/2013, 5:01 PM
Sigh. The TRANSFORMERS franchise has movie cancer, in the form of a small Michael Bay sized lump attached to it's teets.
TicklerMan - 1/8/2013, 5:22 PM
"I want 3 hours of no humans and Tranformers transforming back and forth non stop! And in CARTOON with, YOU GOT THE TOUCH, YOU GOT THE POWER playing non stop!"

All you bastards who hate Bay Transformers.
Funsize - 1/8/2013, 5:24 PM
That's too bad.
OnePunchBaldy - 1/8/2013, 5:47 PM
I feel like we're the ones to blame for this movie happening by giving Bay a second chance for Dark Of The Moon (which the title sucks still) and adding more fuel to the fire (money to the box office) especially with it being in 3D. If you need me I'll be playing the Transformers Battle & Fall of Cybertron games to enjoy a good story with great characters and no humans.
OnePunchBaldy - 1/8/2013, 5:47 PM
@Bark4Soul agreed.
Pooh - 1/8/2013, 6:01 PM
Looks like Transformers is becoming the new Power Rangers. Not a good thing in my opinion.

CharlesLord - 1/8/2013, 8:20 PM
New trilogy?

InfiniteMonkey - 1/8/2013, 8:43 PM
I haven't even seen the last two. DAFUQ?

I want the real Transformers. [frick] Bay.
Get someone else to make it.
mgeoff88 - 1/8/2013, 9:42 PM
I can't wait til Michael Bay stops doing Transformers films! The franchise deserves so much better!

@JatevinM I'll be watching this... when it's released at Redbox. And that's only because Mark Wahlberg is in it.
GhostKILLERgx7 - 1/8/2013, 10:32 PM
@KamenRiderJ22 agreed
@Splenda i'm gonna have to be cheesy and say that they are more than meets the eye. yes the show did come from the need to sell the toys. only after the first transformers movie(1986) came out they realized that they were more than just toys to people. they where characters you could connect and relate too in some level.

the transformers are not just giant robots they are sentient life forms from a planet that does not come from carbon base life. people would understand that IF THEY PUT MORE EFFORT INTO EXPLAINING IT IN THE GOD DAMN FILMS!

when they arrive on earth they are taken back by the make up of the planet. they were once space explorers so the concept that they get to recorded and adapt to their new life isn't even shown. these movies have so much potential. we just need the right man from the job to do these films justice.

Supes17 - 1/8/2013, 11:13 PM
I may get crucified for saying this, but I actually loved(still love) the first Transformers movie.

The sequels were [frick]ing stupid and unnecessary thouh. They should have sat down and plan that shit out
TheDarkKryptonian - 1/9/2013, 6:23 AM
Damn. Just...damn.
CherryBomb - 1/9/2013, 7:50 AM

pepe - 1/9/2013, 9:14 AM

Pooh - 1/9/2013, 7:22 PM
Maybe Mark Wahlberg can make these movies more interesting with some profanity?
