Tron Tron is a 1982 scifi movie produced by Walt Disney Pictures starring Jeff Bridges as protagonist/hacker Kevin Flynn and Bruce Boxleitner as Tron. It was written and directed by Steven Lisberger, and has a distinctive visual style, as it was one of the first films from a major studio to use extensive computer graphics. Decades after it first came out, it has spawned a franchise consisting of a sequel film, Tron Legacy, multiple video games, comic books and a planned television series.
The original Tron himself has revealed in a D23 interview that he's 'done a deal' to return for the third TRON film, and also drops some interesting info about when we may see the film...

Atlhough Disney won't, as Deadline points out, be backing up the brinks truck for the profits of Tron: Legacy, the site is reporting that a third film in the series IS going forward thanks to a near-$400 million gross not counting DVD/Blu-ray sales.
