"Get Ready To Assemble" In New DLC Teaser For DISNEY: INFINITY

"Avengers, Assemble!" Many fans of Disney have enjoyed their latest game, Disney Infinity, which gives you the ability to play as iconic characters from their films. A new teaser has hit for the next DLC pack, which features Captain America's shield fighting the good fight. Hit the jump!

Disney Infinity is an action-adventure sandbox video game developed by Avalanche Software and published by Disney Interactive Studios. It was announced in 2010 and developed for approximately $100 million. Similar to Activision's Skylanders franchise, the game uses collectible figurines that are then synchronized with the game, allowing for characters from Disney, Pixar and Lucasfilm properties to interact and go on adventures. The game was released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS in August 2013. A PC version of Toy Box was also released on November 14, 2013.

Glad to see Cap at the forefront, where he rightfully belongs.
DeathAdder - 4/8/2014, 10:37 AM
Why the hell did they only show Cap's shield? Where are the other Avengers.
aevelasquez - 4/8/2014, 10:38 AM

Just when I thought this "Hail Hydra" thing was unfunny from the start Supercat had to go post a genuine LOL.

I tip my hat Sir.

Damn it, as if I haven't spent enough money on this game for my daughter, now I have to buy more characters for myself?

Can't wait to build my own Marvel universe with Stark Tower and Avenger's Mansion.

With all the possibilities for Marvel characters entering Disney: Infinity. Disney will be making lots of cash. I wonder if Disney will bring the game to Xbox One and PS4.
DeathAdder - 4/8/2014, 11:12 AM
@anthonyEstark, Oh I know, I'm just trying to sound like all the morons out there that would cry about the same stupid crap whenever someone like Iron Man had a movie just come out, and Marvel/Disney would try to market him as much as possible.

Case in point the Marvel Lego video game, never had I seen so much crying and whining about who made the cover, who had more screen time in the trailer, who was going to be a playable character first, etc. than on this site.
Gamera623 - 4/8/2014, 11:21 AM
What a great teaser to get me excited...but definitly a teaser. All we know is Captain America.
What other characters can we expect?
And what of Disney characters? Will this "version 2.0" just be adding Marvel to the game or will more charaters like Mulan or Aladin or WALL-E be coming out?
BboiBlack - 4/8/2014, 11:26 AM
Why is there a cap shield in the thumbnail?
gac - 4/8/2014, 11:37 AM
hail hydro
Jackraow21 - 4/8/2014, 11:42 AM
Wonder if they can use Spider-man and the X-men in this? I hope so.

Perhaps it is just the shield that is coming to the game like the lightsaber already...

Dedpool - 4/8/2014, 12:17 PM
Knew it was coming. Waiting on the Star Wars dlc next.
And I want a Kingdom Hearts with Star Wars and Marvel.
NoAssemblyReqd - 4/8/2014, 12:20 PM
I love this game. Fair warning, though: expect to spend at least $200 to get the most out of it.

Happy about this DLC. I fully expected nothing new to come until DISNEY INFINITY 2.
NoAssemblyReqd - 4/8/2014, 12:34 PM
After reading through the released material, nowhere does it specify DLC. More likely this is a new gamedisc that will work with the existing platform (with optional portal base for those who didn't get the first game). And a new gamedisc also mean new figures and playsets.

Bring it on.
TheSavorings - 4/8/2014, 12:37 PM
I love how "The Ballard of Beta Ray Bill" from Earth's Mightiest Heroes is a linked episode. Please let this be adapted into Thor 3 please!

SanFranLand - 4/8/2014, 3:14 PM

SugarYumYum - 4/8/2014, 8:38 PM
[frick] yes to the usage of Cap's shield. Sweet little teaser.
BlindJustice - 4/8/2014, 9:13 PM
Hail Hydra...errr...I mean...It looks like a really cool boost for this game. I bought it for my kids and they're going crazy now after seeing that trailer! Dammit, Disney... TAKE MY MONEY NOW!
