VIDEO GAMES: Batman's New Fighting Style Revealed in BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHT

It has been a couple of days since the new Rocksteady game has been under the spotlight. Now, provided by GameInformer, we have a sneak peak into the new fighting mechanics for the next installment. Click the link for the video or read the summary provided.

To learn about the process of animating these characters, as well as hearing a glimpse of Kevin Conroy's voice as Batman, check out GameInformer's video with the link below.

-After defeating a henchman in combat, Batman no longer simply stands up straight. Instead, he will pause in an "interesting pose."

-Batman has a new fighting ability called "Weapon Steal," which allows him pick up weapons off the floor and use them against his enemies.

-Batman can use the surrounding environment against his enemies, such as taking things off the wall and smashing them on his opponent.

-The transitions between cutscenes and gameplay will flow much more smoothly.

-Arkham Knight uses motion-capture for cutscenes, including the face, body, and sometimes, the voice.

-If the voice actor can not preform due to traveling issues, their voice is dubbed over the motion-capture actor's voice.

In the explosive finale to the Arkham series, Batman faces the ultimate threat against the city he is sworn to protect. The Scarecrow returns to unite an impressive roster of super villains, including Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn, to destroy The Dark Knight forever.
Batman: Arkham Knight introduces Rocksteady’s uniquely designed version of the Batmobile, which is drivable for the first time in the franchise. The addition of this legendary vehicle, combined with the acclaimed gameplay of the Batman Arkham series, offers gamers the ultimate and complete Batman experience as they tear through the streets and soar across the skyline of the entirety of Gotham City.

AsgardianHobo - 3/10/2014, 1:11 PM
These games are so amazing. Don't know why Origins got as much hate as it did, but it was fun to me. Time to re-install and play em all again!
MrSotoMan - 3/10/2014, 1:14 PM
Origins had an amazing story to make up for some of the been there done that, overall it was better than nothing, but I love Batman so I don't care, Origins was a great game.

This game god.....this could be Grand Theft Batman.
Zeponi - 3/10/2014, 1:16 PM
The motion capture part explains why Harley looks more like Tara Strong.
HurricaneXavier - 3/10/2014, 1:16 PM
Origins got crapped on because it was full of bugs.

Completely wrecked the game for me.
Vegeta - 3/10/2014, 1:17 PM
I can't wait!
MexicanSexyman - 3/10/2014, 1:18 PM
@SotoJuiceMan, on another article you said that you saw The Amazing Spider-Man 2. How was it?
MexicanSexyman - 3/10/2014, 1:18 PM
I still need to play Arkham Origins.
cipher - 3/10/2014, 1:19 PM
I haven't played the Arkham games in a looooooong time. Hell, I haven't played any videogame in a long time. I don't really have the time to.
cipher - 3/10/2014, 1:20 PM
Heh, you know what always drove me up the bloody wall? Whenever I tried to do a ground takedown.. didn't matter where I was, or how far off the other bastards were- eeeeeeeeeeevery time I tried to finish a guy when he was on the ground, some f*ck would sprint across the entire length of the map, and interrupt it.

Haha, I swear, some of those bastards were materialising out of thin air.
AsgardianHobo - 3/10/2014, 1:20 PM
I played Origins a month or two after its release, so maybe they fixed the bugs by then.
Enphlieuwince - 3/10/2014, 1:20 PM
Nice behind-the-scenes look, TDK1939. GJ!
Pasto - 3/10/2014, 1:21 PM
All my excitement has gone out the door for Destiny. [frick] that game, gimme this.
Vegeta - 3/10/2014, 1:21 PM
Anyhow, stanby for Titanfall.

cipher - 3/10/2014, 1:21 PM
Those f*ckers were harnessing the speedforce.
TonyChu - 3/10/2014, 1:23 PM
Now this is a true next gen experience and the reason I bought a PS4. Evolve, Destiny, Watch Dogs, Infamous Second Son, and now Batman Arkham Knight are going to make me broke.
TonyChu - 3/10/2014, 1:24 PM
@Batmaniac Waiting for the 360 version, but I am building a gaming PC in the summer and I am definetly getting it for that.
manhunter212 - 3/10/2014, 1:24 PM
I hope Batman is more acrobatic this time around. That jump spin kick he did in the trailer was amazing.
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 3/10/2014, 1:25 PM

Thanks friend ;)
Vegeta - 3/10/2014, 1:26 PM

Yeah man, you have too. The game is to good to pass up.
Vegeta - 3/10/2014, 1:30 PM
Origins bugs ruined the game for me. It's a shame, because besides the game breaking bugs, the game is pretty great. Still, I'm sure Arkham Knight is going to be a lot better. I just hope we get the entirety of Gotham to explore this time around.
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 3/10/2014, 1:31 PM
I don't plan on getting next gen any time soon. So, I am just going to buy it for computer and plug in my xbox controller. Pretty much the same thing being that this game won't have multiplayer
johnboyMCU - 3/10/2014, 1:31 PM
