VIDEO GAMES: The Hobbit And Unidentified DC Superhero In Works From Warner Interactive!

Though they're yet to be officially announced by Warner Interactive, sources close to The Los Angeles Times reveal that work is moving ahead on video games for The Hobbit, LEGO Batman and an unidentified DC superhero...

The Los Angeles Times have run an article shedding some light on Warner Interactive's plans for 2012, revealing what games they're planning on releasing despite them not yet being officially announced by the studio. There's also talk of sequels to Batman: Arkham City and Mortal Kombat hitting in 2013, and I strongly advise clicking on the link below to check that out for yourselves.

The only game announced for 2012 is the downloadable title Gotham City Imposters (a Batman-related fighting game), but people familiar with the studio's plans who requested anonymity because the titles have not been announced confirmed several other games coming next year. They include a sequel to 2008 hit kids game Lego Batman, which will be released close to the movie "The Dark Knight Rises"; a Hobbit game that will likely launch several months before December movie "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey"; and a game featuring an unidentified DC Comics superhero.

My guess for the unidentified superhero game? Well, the fact it's being released in 2012 makes me doubt that it's Man of Steel related, and despite recent talk of Rocksteady being interested working on a game featuring Superman, there's no way they could get one out that quickly. (unless work has been moving ahead in secret for a while, something I find hard to believe) Instead, I wouldn't mind betting that this could be tied into "The New 52" somehow, and I'm sure there are many fans out there who would like a decent game featuring The Justice League! For now, we'll just have to wait and see...
