Next-gen Tomb Raider has been out for awhile. It's called PC.
ATrueHero1987 - 12/8/2013, 7:24 AM
I loved this game, it was great, and I don't blame them for wanting this to come to nex-gen consoles. Ready for TR2 now!
charlie2094 - 12/8/2013, 7:27 AM
Glad this is happening, but I've already played (and loved) it so will probably give this a miss. Nice to know they are actually updating textures and models and such to make it worth the update, more people that play it the better, can't wait for Tomb Raider 2

I was hoping this weekend, for an 'Arkham City Sequel' announcement....ah well next summer!!!
ATrueHero1987 - 12/8/2013, 7:29 AM
I was hoping they would've showed new gameplay for Watch Dogs, but I got a feeling that will happen in January.
charlie2094 - 12/8/2013, 7:30 AM

That'll probably be E3 2014, when they announced 'City' I believe, with the game releasing the same year
DasManiac - 12/8/2013, 7:30 AM
Tomb Raider isn't out next gen at all. No games are because the consoles don't exist yet. PS4 and Xbox One are not next gen, they're current gen.
TopCat89 - 12/8/2013, 7:33 AM

Yeah that's what i'm it would be too early atm with the recent release of 'Origins' and new DLC
jcfrommars9 - 12/8/2013, 7:41 AM
Good to know. Loved this game.
AGoodHonestMan - 12/8/2013, 7:49 AM
This game's fantastic! Even though I have the PS3 version already I'll probably end up buying this if the bonus content added additional missions and tomb raiding.
Enphlieuwince - 12/8/2013, 7:51 AM

Don't get me wrong, it's a cheap move on their part to do the same game, BUT, it's such a damn good game. They'd better not be taking development time away from the sequel for this shit though.

Hitman Absolution or Sleeping Dogs would be cool in next-gen too, the current gen versions are pathetic
UlisesMX - 12/8/2013, 8:14 AM
Haven't played this game so this is a nice excuse to try it in the new consoles...
jcfrommars9 - 12/8/2013, 8:23 AM

we want more money. double dip and buy it again. lol [frick] you

That's only for those that bought it the first time.
DoubleDion - 12/8/2013, 9:59 AM
UPDATED 1080P VISUALS OMG OMG OMG… I don't even get what 1080p [frick]ing means… If 1080p doesnt mean that Lara Croft sucks on my dong then I don't care
DetBullock - 12/8/2013, 10:09 AM
Already played the "updated edition" on my PC...

Of course no matter if PC or consolles it is a game worth playing for sure.
datNAMEtho - 12/8/2013, 10:28 AM
Love the Tomb Raider games, especially the old ones! Really enjoyed the Anniversary game too
Vaportrail - 12/8/2013, 10:51 AM
Of course. I just bought it on Black Friday, finally.
MrCameron - 12/8/2013, 11:40 AM
Loved this game!

"an enhanced version of last year's Tomb Raider reboot on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One, with 1080p visuals"....*snip.

Whatta load of crap. The (latest) XBOX 360s already outputs to 1080p - so thats no reason at all to trade up to the overpriced turd of a machine that is the XBOX One.
jcfrommars9 - 12/8/2013, 12:44 PM

The (latest) XBOX 360s already outputs to 1080p...

But the internal rendering is still 1280x720. It just upscales to 1080p
ATrueHero1987 - 12/8/2013, 2:16 PM
^No, most games really output 1080p( Halo 4, Max Payne 3, GOW3, and etc.)
jcfrommars9 - 12/8/2013, 2:45 PM
I wasn't talking about the games.
mgeoff88 - 12/8/2013, 5:35 PM
Lol, I already spent $60 on the Xbox 360 version. I'm not spending a total of $120 on the same game.

I'll just rent it.
LittleDanglyThing - 12/8/2013, 5:54 PM
Considering neither the PS4 or Xbox One are backwards compatible and I'm selling my 360 to get the Xbone this is GREAT news because I love and still play this game. Now if only GTAV, Last of Us and BioShock Infinite would have this.
BillyM67 - 12/9/2013, 12:31 PM
@ATrueHero1987...all games on the PS3 and XB360 "output" @ 1080p, but that is not the same as being created @ 1080p. All of the games released for the XB360 were created @ 720p resolution or less and the system "upscales" them to 1080p, which is not the same. My two year old Sony dvd player has HDMI out and "upscales" movies to High Definition, and actually does a pretty good job of it, but is not the same picture quality as the same movie in Blu-Ray format.
