Some are saying that Watchmen's weekend box office revenues have not lived up to the hype, but here's some perspective.

Zack Snyder's vision for the Watchmen, while visually stunning does not capture the true essence of the story Alan Moore gave us over 20 years ago.

I came across this while randomly browsing Youtube. Enjoy.

No matter what audiences seem to think about the new Watchmen movie, it seems that they are all agreeing about one thing — the opening title sequence is phenomenal.(watch it fast before they yank it)Plus World In Focus: 6 Minutes to Midnight.

I walked into the theatre excited and ready for a great showing. And I am glad to say that I was not disappointed in the least.
crappybumbum - 3/9/2009

While pleased overall with the film, there was only ONE major complaint I have with this film...

If you liked it or didn't, the Watchmen was a success and was true to the book...thank god!
ComicMans1234 - 3/7/2009

Has a Watchmen cartoon been green lighted to air on Kids WB this summer? What will Alan Moore say about this?
TheSoulEater - 3/7/2009

The visionary, eccentric—some would say "mad"—writer of Watchmen, V for Vendetta and From Hell speaks his mind about what Watchmen is really about!
Brent Sprecher - 3/7/2009

It wasn't good. It copied dialogue and placed it awkwardly without the proper artistic images..

My friend reviewed the movie and I want to show everyone his reviews. I also decided to show everyone because his reviews are pretty straight forward. Here's his review...

This graphic novel fan is not too pleased.
LanternFan - 3/7/2009

The Watchmen movie is certainly it's own animal apart from the GN. It's a movie that doesn't make it easy for you to recognize as a great or even good film. Like Picasso to art, or Camus to writing Watchmen is to film a new challenge for the audience that doesn't use kitsch formulas, it invents it's own inspired by it's source material. Spoilers.
xaosjerk - 3/7/2009

I made it a point to avoid the graphic novel before I saw the film. I did this because it IS a film and is NOT a graphic novel, as hard as that is for Watchmen comic fanboys to believe. Knowing nothing about the comic, I engaged myself as a moviegoer, and guess what? I was bloody friggin satisfied!

We already know: NO SQUID! I found it funny that they played HALLELUJAH during the sex scene between Nite Owl and (the latexed out) Silk Spectre.
