Everything Wrong With Brett Ratner's X-MEN: THE LAST STAND (2006)

With the imminent release of Jame Mangold's The Wolverine, Cinema Sins has decided to pump out some nit-picky videos about the live-action X-Men films that 20th Century Fox has produced over the years.

X-Men: The Last Stand was directed by Brett Ratner, from a screenplay written by Simon Kinberg and Zak Penn. The cast included: Hugh Jackman as Logan / Wolverine, Halle Berry as Ororo Munroe / Storm, Patrick Stewart as Professor Charles Xavier, Anna Paquin as Marie / Rogue, Kelsey Grammer as Dr. Henry "Hank" McCoy / Beast, James Marsden as Scott Summers / Cyclops, Shawn Ashmore as Bobby Drake / Iceman, and Ellen Page as Kitty Pryde. The film earned $459 million at the world wide box office, against a budget of $210 million.

LEVITIKUZ - 7/25/2013, 1:53 PM
NOMIS is taking over Cinema Sins
GoILL - 7/25/2013, 1:53 PM
Looking forward to what Nomis has to say about this.

They could make a documentary trilogy out of this subject. 2 hours each. And it still wouldn't be enough. Rat makes Singer look good.
SnapperCarr - 7/25/2013, 1:55 PM
god this movie sucked
darkspark - 7/25/2013, 1:55 PM
It happened is the biggest thing that was wrong with it...
CherryBomb - 7/25/2013, 1:57 PM
This video would really be 104 minutes if it showed everything that was wrong.
Abary - 7/25/2013, 1:58 PM
The length of the video should be the length of the movie.
RichardHedski - 7/25/2013, 1:59 PM
This movie has its good moments i.e., the battle at Alcatraz and the score by John Powell but it has way too many dumb moments. For instance, the killing Cyclops, the way Xavier was killed in the middle of the movie, "I'M THE JUGGERNAUT, BITCH!!!", etc., etc., etc.
Mike89 - 7/25/2013, 2:03 PM
He made a good point about the Golden Gate Bridge. Why tear it down? I never got that. lol.
Jollem - 7/25/2013, 2:03 PM

AlexRival - 7/25/2013, 2:05 PM

EpitomeofAwesome - 7/25/2013, 2:05 PM
They've been busy
Zarog - 7/25/2013, 2:06 PM
This could be shortened to "It was made."
Giznad - 7/25/2013, 2:07 PM
the coolest thing about the movie was when I learned that "I'm the Juggernaut, bitch" line was dedicated to MyWay's "I'm the Juggernaut, Bitch" video.
Jollem - 7/25/2013, 2:08 PM
there's a buttload of cool moments in the movie
hawkeye2012 - 7/25/2013, 2:08 PM

SpideyQuad - 7/25/2013, 2:23 PM
And Ratner still acts as if he did nothing wrong
Ocelot - 7/25/2013, 2:24 PM

That gif

SpideyQuad - 7/25/2013, 2:25 PM
It's because of people like YOU that Wolverine became the most important character in the X-Men movies.
Ocelot - 7/25/2013, 2:27 PM
SpideyQuad - 7/25/2013, 2:27 PM
Sorry beto, it looks like my comment was directed at you but it wasn't. It's the fan boys I was thinking about that managed to bitch about everything.
JediPhilosopher - 7/25/2013, 2:29 PM
This was the Alien 3 of X-Men. The one to end the possibility of anything being right in X-Men ever again. I saw this movie and at the end threw up my hands and said "That's it, I'm done with X-Men I guess." Well, I was obviously clinging to some hope, which eventually grew with a hope that we'd get an X-Men Marvel combined universe. That won't happen, so I'm now at "Eh, whatever, I won't spend money on them."
Ocelot - 7/25/2013, 2:38 PM

BlueHawaiiSurfer - 7/25/2013, 2:39 PM
I normally hate videos like this but unfortunately X1 & X3 were a real abortion of film making. X2 really started to get "warm", especially the attack on the school scene and First Class was "ok" but god the rest were just absolute garbage.
Luis75 - 7/25/2013, 2:40 PM
The only character that comes across like a total bitch and loser in that 90s X-men cartoon is Wolverine.
Dmon - 7/25/2013, 2:44 PM
Remember when Wolverine died in Ultimatum that was Awesome.

Dumegg - 7/25/2013, 2:50 PM
Can everything that is wrong with X3 be stated
In only 10min?
JediPhilosopher - 7/25/2013, 2:50 PM
I believe the only reason X3 did good in theaters was because people's expectations were high based on the previous film. That's why a lot of bad sequels make money, or why good sequels don't. The quality of movie you make this time affects not just its success, but the success of the next one. Of course, many people were attracted to the effects scenes, but most of us who care at all about any continuity or the characters hated it.
Jer3miah - 7/25/2013, 2:55 PM
LMAO! The comments are almost as funny as the video, itself. Jeez, they sure went in on Brett Ratner's FAIL career.
BubblesShedAndBreakfast - 7/25/2013, 2:56 PM
They forgot " why would Colosus hide from burning flying cars?" He would catch em and throw em out of the way not hide!:(
NBAfanaddict - 7/25/2013, 2:56 PM
Man, the 90's X-Men intro get's me going.

"dah-dah-dah-daaah-dah-dah, dah-dah-dah-daaah-dah-dah, dah-dah-dah-daaah-dah-dah....DAH DAH!!"
marvel72 - 7/25/2013, 2:57 PM
