She looks important... maybe Mystique changes into her
Cagefighterkip - 6/9/2013, 2:15 PM

Bearjew - 6/9/2013, 2:20 PM
Destiny maybe?
DeadManDann - 6/9/2013, 2:22 PM
@TheDarkPassenger

Apparently she had an allergic reaction to the make-up last time. Something like that.
rocky - 6/9/2013, 2:27 PM
NO WAY that's Misty Knight
she's not part of the X-Men family
so no reason to be in a Fox film
Fantine - 6/9/2013, 2:29 PM
@thedarkpassenger Jlaw reportedly said she was sick of sitting for hours and hours for makeup,
capreborn - 6/9/2013, 2:30 PM
@ MrMartinMarvel same here, put the white outfit on her
nuclearpriest - 6/9/2013, 2:30 PM
I could be wrong but I think Misty Knight was introduced in the pages of Iron fist and therefore 20th Century Fox would not have the rights to use her. That aside, that actress should have played Storm instead of Halle Berry.
113 - 6/9/2013, 2:31 PM
Dat ass
TheSoulEater - 6/9/2013, 2:35 PM
She's so attractive, and not cause she's naked
mrHJK - 6/9/2013, 2:35 PM
Hey Darwin's back
marvel72 - 6/9/2013, 2:44 PM
mystique hot in the comics,freezing cold in the movies.

why make a character that is beautiful in the comics ugly in the movies?
DrDoom - 6/9/2013, 2:44 PM
@nuclearpriest

Yeah, there is no way Misty Knight would be attached to any Fox rights. Maybe it's just a random 70's girl, but the resemblance to Mercedes is kinda scary lol
TheAbomination - 6/9/2013, 2:44 PM
She ain't got the curves she used to have. Still would though.
astromerc - 6/9/2013, 2:47 PM
I'm telling you guys Singer makes this crap up as he goes along...I hate him.
DrDoom - 6/9/2013, 2:48 PM
I still don't understand why Mystique is a nudist in the movies.
breakUbatman - 6/9/2013, 2:48 PM
@MrMartinMarvel

She's nude because it was a more plausible way of explaining how she manages to change her looks and clothes (without lengthy exposition), and the scale effect when she shifts is pretty cool.
thewonderer - 6/9/2013, 2:56 PM
Her being nude is a huge part of first class

Magneto convinces her to admire her mutant body.

If you're going to hate on Singer, at least don't be an idiot about it.

And we couldn't even get a good Hawkeye out of hack Whedon
thewonderer - 6/9/2013, 2:57 PM
Lol Crappola

Lawrence read the script and loved it

Way more ambitious than the shit marvel studios is doing

Destroying mandarin and making shitty movies as a result
Fantine - 6/9/2013, 2:59 PM
I think Marvels crown is slipping. Guardians will be there saving grace.
CharlesLord - 6/9/2013, 2:59 PM
id tap that....just cut a hole into the suit
RexDartEskimoSpy - 6/9/2013, 2:59 PM
Nearly every young black woman looked like Misty Knight in the '70s. She's probably Mystique too.

I get why Mystique doesn't wear real clothes - she'd be struck in them when she shifts - but if she can magically appear to be wearing clothes in disguise, why not appear to wear clothes when she's blue? If she's still trying to seduce Erik like in First Class she's barking up the wrong tree. Magneto is as queer as a $3 bill in these movies.
thewonderer - 6/9/2013, 3:04 PM
Perfect photo Francishates

Showing Captain America, the leader, behind Iron Man and Thor

And people whine about wolverine and Cyclops.

Also, how is Hulk punching Thor a good thing? They were past the fighting and working together. It's a joke I get it but what was the fallout?

Did Thor just go "oh you!"
SpideyQuad - 6/9/2013, 3:06 PM
SINGER...

Btw thewondereer I believe he meant "why not in uniform" like the comics. Singer set presedant by bailing on the X-Men uniforms. It's called sarcasm.

TROLL... Go find a bridge and hide.
DrDoom - 6/9/2013, 3:06 PM
@Wondie

Magneto didn't convince her to be nude. He convinced her to default to her natural blue skin when she isn't impersonating someone.
It has nothing to do with being nude. She could still simulate clothes while having her natural blue skin.
XK1D - 6/9/2013, 3:07 PM
The body suit is to save time on applying the make up, Rebecca Romijn had to sit for 10 hrs for the makeup process, Lawrence underwent through the same thing for First Class, this is just a more time saving method, I just like that you can't tell it's a body suit, but we are being deprived of seeing Jeniffer Lawrence's blue booty.
thewonderer - 6/9/2013, 3:08 PM
No, rewatch first class

Xavier even comments on how weird it is that she's nude.

Magneto specifically states that she shouldn't be ashamed of showing her blue body at all times.

UrbanTheEmcee - 6/9/2013, 3:09 PM
She looks as awkward here, as she did in the first one. Wrong person for the role. JRS had the perfect body and attitude for the direction they took Mystique. If they were going to give this role to someone new, it should've been Zoe Saldana.
thewonderer - 6/9/2013, 3:09 PM
Martin

First class is a prequel

You just went full retard
SpideyQuad - 6/9/2013, 3:11 PM
TheDark, that's your opinion, and it's a piss poor one compared to popular opinion, but by all means... assinate your self further along with thewonderer. It's a boring Sunday and hours till Thorns
RexDartEskimoSpy - 6/9/2013, 3:11 PM
I think the bodysuit is probably for wider shots where you can't tell the difference. Saves time and aggravation. Remember, the paint and latex application takes hours. They probably use the paint for close ups.

Regarding that cosplay chick up there, why would a shape shifter use a rifle to assassinate someone? She could just walk right up to her target.

Anyway, the only real reason why Mystique's always nekkid is because you don't hire Rebecca Romijn to wear clothes in your movie. And I for one have no problem with the trend continuing with Jennifer Lawrence. I wish they'd change the slicked back hair look though. Looks like she got slimes on Nickelodeon.
DrDoom - 6/9/2013, 3:13 PM
@Wondie

If Magneto was telling her to be a nudist, then why did she continue to wear clothes after her conversation with Xavier where she was nude?

Oh wait that would just throw a wrench in your whole plan
SpideyQuad - 6/9/2013, 3:19 PM
Dork, so she can only morph into "naked" versions of people. Wow, talk useless.
RexDartEskimoSpy - 6/9/2013, 3:20 PM
You'd all walk around naked if you had that body. Well, maybe not the scales. Hmm... Maybe Bryan Singer's just pretending to be gay and really has a freaky fish fetish like Troy McClure.
Nubase - 6/9/2013, 3:26 PM
i remember all the hate that first class was getting while it was being made then it came out it turned out to be a great movie.

This movie will be great as well, just wait and see.
DrDoom - 6/9/2013, 3:28 PM
@DarkPassenger

Mystique simulated clothes in the books. She has no reason to not simulate clothes when she's in her blue form.
agentawsume - 6/9/2013, 3:31 PM
Is...is this really an argument? Why is Mystique nude? There's Jennifer Lawrence in full costume....and this stupid argument comes out of it. Ugghh...
TheRationalNerd - 6/9/2013, 3:38 PM
@Nubase:

Totally agreed bro! I don't give a flying sh** what people say about its jacked up timeline because by the time "Days of Future Past" is released it'll all be cleared up! I'm sick of all the hate going on for X-Men when the MCU over at Disney has their issues as well. People keep bringing up "The Avengers" like it was the most beautiful, electrifying and A+ comic book movie ever made when it really wasn't I always give it a 8.5/10 but its comedy watered the film down. All films have their flaws and people will always find a way to being up the old. Yet no one brings up the rushed story arc of War Machine, the complete cheesy battle between Thor and The Destroyer or even the whole Mandarin thing.

Days of Future Past will be spectacular and I bet my a** everyone will ease their way in to see the freaking trailer as soon as it drops. lol
