blackandyellow - 3/13/2014, 10:12 PM
It looks like Singer is teaching a CPR class in the first pic.
XelCorp - 3/13/2014, 10:12 PM
Interesting pic with Beast and Mystique though....
XelCorp - 3/13/2014, 10:14 PM
@blackandyellow-it's obviously their rumored sex scene
XelCorp - 3/13/2014, 10:15 PM

LastAvenger99 - 3/13/2014, 10:21 PM
Wow is that Kitty using her power on Bishop?!!!
CaptainAmerica - 3/13/2014, 10:21 PM
Wait a dingus! Does she first try to send Bishop back in time?!
tvor03 - 3/13/2014, 10:22 PM
Is bishop going back in time as well?
BrowniesExplode - 3/13/2014, 10:23 PM
Thats what I am wondering as well.
BlackGetsuga3 - 3/13/2014, 10:25 PM
So does she channel her powers to be able to faze someone's brain threw time?
Humperdink - 3/13/2014, 10:26 PM
Logan, I was a different man back then.
Lead me.
Guide me.
Fix the mess FOX made of this X-men timeline.
ComicsBornAndBred - 3/13/2014, 10:28 PM
Niiiice!!! Come on Memorial Day!
OnePunchBaldy - 3/13/2014, 10:29 PM
Wait... a sex scene!?
OnePunchBaldy - 3/13/2014, 10:29 PM
And Bishops going into the past too? Although I'm really looking forward to this movie i'm all kinds of confused
tvor03 - 3/13/2014, 10:29 PM
I'm thinking she acts as some sort of electrical conduit for Storm's lightning. But if it's your mind going back to an earlier body, why Bishop? We know Singer was a big fan of the animated series, and Bishop is the one sent back there. hmm...
Humperdink - 3/13/2014, 10:30 PM
You know, I'm hoping the new trailer will feel a bit smoother.
This one comes across pretty rough, and the editing is a bit choppy.
Especially when Wolverine suddenly screams out of no where.
BrowniesExplode - 3/13/2014, 10:34 PM
I'm betting Bishop dies after being sent back in time and that's why Wolverine gets sent back.
nowtheresaBATman - 3/13/2014, 10:39 PM

Atleast Jackman looks like Wolverine here unlike that piece of shit "Japan story" "Stand alone" piece of shit movie he last did. Just another stupid "X-Men" movie The Boreverine was. If I would've seen "Jean Grey" one more time in that I would've puked in my pop corn.
TimL - 3/13/2014, 10:42 PM
Singer ruins every goddamn pic with his baby face.
nowtheresaBATman - 3/13/2014, 10:44 PM
Halle Berry looks like she has a hedgehog on her head.

Rihanna w/ a Mohawk would've made a better Storm.
SimonM7 - 3/13/2014, 10:45 PM
Hnggh. So excited for this. Just watched Superman Returns yesterday, and even though that's a tonally schizophrenic, dreary mess, it's directed beautifully. I can't wait for that panache to return to ensemble X-Men after the surprisingly flat direction in First Class. Surprising because Kick-Ass is a really snappy and slick film.

Matthew Vaughn isn't quite as kinetic about his direction as Singer, though. I remember watching scene where Magneto turns the big satellite dish in First Class, thinking that Singer would have the dish and hand turn in sync. It's just a different way to think about the relationship between elements in an action scene, and I think generally, Singer is better suited to portraying what could otherwise be pretty abstract powers on screen.
Kurne - 3/13/2014, 10:48 PM
Bishop tries to go back first or he tries to travel to help Logan (later in the movie).
nowtheresaBATman - 3/13/2014, 10:57 PM
The only way that I'd watch Superman Returns again is by being strapped into a chair Alex de Large style w/ my eyelids clamped back.
Ocelot - 3/13/2014, 10:57 PM
Bishop is from a further future, this is confirmed. I'm guessing he arrives in 2023, but can't go back to the 70's as he's not born yet, so Wolverine is sent instead.
XelCorp - 3/13/2014, 10:58 PM
The Wolverine was actually pretty [frick]ing amazing. Had real substance along with First Class
nowtheresaBATman - 3/13/2014, 11:01 PM
I found First Class some what satisfying until I found out about Singer's plan for Days of Future Paste. Then my feelings for that movie went into the wood chipper w/ the rest of them.
OnePunchBaldy - 3/13/2014, 11:03 PM
The Wolverine although not the best of them is my favorite X-Men film. God dammit it's damn near perfect.
nowtheresaBATman - 3/13/2014, 11:06 PM

The Wolverine was a butchery of the Japan story. Silver Samurai was a old man in a diaper full of substance.
nowtheresaBATman - 3/13/2014, 11:14 PM
A CGI Bear peeing like a dog in the woods. Damn near perfectly describes the whole film. Bears don't pee like dogs goddamnit.

Wolverine trained as a Samurai in a dojo. He had a Master. Not once did you see that in that movie. How anybody who has read about Wolverine's history in Japan & actually liked that movie is beyond me.
Some people at shit up & ask for seconds I guess.

So what happens in the past that forces them to send Old Man Logan to the '70s? I mean if it's an event in the '70s that started the downward spiral why didn't they send him back in time in 2002?

Does Bishop go back to kill someone and Wolverine has to stop him? Or is it a case of some undisclosed villain like Fitzroy or David Haller (I'm not saying either of these two are in the movie!!!) going back and killing someone and they send Logan afterwards to stop them.

OR does Mystique kill the President which leads to Xavier mind-wiping her creating the cold-emotional monster she was in the fist X-Men movie? I wonder. ;)
DurtyTalynt - 3/13/2014, 11:45 PM

Exactly. Nothing about Chris Claremont series is remotely respectable in that so called film. Another embarrassing outing for foxs xmen and Wolverines nude tv show actionless
sequels. Give a guy a six pack of the old natty ice and it gives him enough rage to take down Foxs Wolverine.
MightyZeus - 3/13/2014, 11:47 PM
Kitty sends Bishop back in time too? I'm interested to see how this movie will turn out? Hopefully, the film will be good.
UltimateTypeface - 3/14/2014, 12:29 AM
What the [frick] is going on with Beasts hand ?

...looks like something outta HR Puff'n Stuff

Hopefully this will be so bad it will be the end the FoX-men
Humperdink - 3/14/2014, 12:53 AM

My favorite part of 'The Wolverine' was when he tackled the giant 8ft extremely heavy adamantium mecha-suit like a linebacker and it actually fell over with ease. I burst out laughing.

It was one of those points where you know they're not really trying.

If they were, Yashida would have taken Logan's 'bone-marrow' back when he had him drugged in his house and implanted with a heart robot which reduced his healing (I thought that was in his bones?), rather than go through that convoluted plan of his that made no sense when you think about it.

Yashida even had his men outside shooting Logan full of arrows to stop him from entering his castle when Yashida actually wanted him there all along.

Hint To Yashida Clan: START with the poison arrow next time, or just let him come in then use it.

giveme the new trailer or GTFO! wait too long!
SimpleeComplex - 3/14/2014, 2:46 AM
Nice homage to the comics if indeed Bishop is attempting time travel...In the comics Bishop travels outside of time and him "not being born in that time period" is a non issue but whatever this is the movie.
SimonM7 - 3/14/2014, 2:55 AM
I just wanna push back against all this The Wolverine slamming and say yeah, it's actually my favourite out of the X-Men films, too. So you're not alone, guys who like that movie - who've just been told you're eating shit and asking for seconds!

I could go on at length about why I love that movie (sans perhaps the CG freakout ending that really is overly convoluted) but mostly I just really love the character arc of it - the intimacy of the storytelling reminding me of Drive more than the usual super hero fare. It's a noir that is less about self-destruction and more about self-reconstruction. It leverages plot points from the comic in a different way to better build on what's established in the movies - as it logically should, much to the chagrin of fanboys clamoring for page-by-page adaptation and cosplay - and it actually lends some legitimacy to elements of the otherwise scatter-shot Last Stand.

(See how I sniped at people who don't agree with me without suggesting they eat feces? Take notes.)

I'm both excited and wary about the prospect of a sequel, though. Bringing a character from point A to point B is a very thankful endeavour when you make a movie, and starting out with a broken and confused Wolverine really benefits this one in a way that won't carry over to the next. I hope they can maintain the noir atmosphere, however, and keep it a similarly subdued and subtle affair. Leave the high-flying CG shenanigans to the ensemble movies and create a tonal difference that separates them.
SimonM7 - 3/14/2014, 2:58 AM
And by "this one" I meant The Wolverine. I got a bit wrapped up in my own rant. :P
