Latest X-Men: First Class Character Posters Feature Mystique And Riptide!

The newest foreign character posters for Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class offers a new look at fellow mutants Mystique And Riptide! Make the jump & Check them out!

Adding to the collection of previously-seen character posters, the latest for Fox & Matthew Vaughn's much-anticipated X-Men: First Class prequel features the shape-shifting 'Mystique,' and the Hellfire Club's whirl-winding 'Riptide'.

X-Men: First Class charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men. Starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Kevin Bacon, and January Jones, the film releases June 3!

Tofur - 5/22/2011, 9:31 AM
Yeah I don't understand why they gave Mystique such a big forehead.
deamon - 5/22/2011, 9:41 AM

Wow, these posters are awesome! (:
Mystique looks awesome (: she's rocking the longer hair like Romijn in X3 - Romijn and Lawrence have the same nose, lips, bone structure .. it's uncanny!

and Riptide is sooo freaking hot. <3
poop23 - 5/22/2011, 9:58 AM
Her face is to round to be painted blue or pass as mystique from the other films.
SeaSerpentine - 5/22/2011, 10:14 AM
I hope she appears nude, like in the previous films.
deamon - 5/22/2011, 10:16 AM
No they don't look the same, Lawrence has fat face and bigger nose than Romijn.
TheMyth - 5/22/2011, 10:45 AM
OMG! Riptide's eyes are yellow?! His hair is supposed to be stark white and he is a Marauder, not an HC member... but them's small taters compared to the *gasp* yellow eyes.

This movie is gonna melt your faces!
Ghostt - 5/22/2011, 10:58 AM
@firg, thats clearly racist an has no place here....

..but its funny
CherryBomb - 5/22/2011, 11:09 AM
Riptides eyes are more golden than yellow
So were Angel's though if I remember, it's probably just to add effect. XD
gambgel - 5/22/2011, 12:02 PM
is it me, or Mystique's forehead looks shorter in this shoot?
Stumblin - 5/22/2011, 12:10 PM
Weneedrevelation, I do believe you just answered your own question. I think it's called, yes, international advertisement, meaning from another country with their native make my head hurt.
GlowingBall - 5/22/2011, 12:30 PM

Actually he gave you just as intelligent of a response as the question you gave. If you knew anything about any kind of other culture you'd know that wasn't Japanese.

The Japanese wouldn't put the movie title, nor the character titles, in Kanji. I believe that is what you are referring too correct? The center text if I am not mistaken? Foreign names are put into Katakana, a Japanese writing style created specifically for foreign and borrowed words.

The only time a name would be seen in Japanese Kanji is if it is a traditional Japanese name, such as Yamada. Even Chinese names, which also use Kanji (though the Chinese version of Kanji which is severely different) are written in Katakana usually.

I believe you owe this man an apology and should rethink insulting others when you clearly have no idea what you are talking about.

MissMystique - 5/22/2011, 2:02 PM
Doesnt Mystique/Jennifer looks a little bit like the singer Rihanna? Except that she is blue, of course :)

But its a good poster, though
Rodimus9 - 5/22/2011, 2:05 PM
Mystique does have a large forehead.
LionPepsiJuice - 5/22/2011, 3:15 PM
I have to admit I thought this movie was going to be horrible and that I wasn't really going to even bother with it. With all the recent trailers and tv spots I have to take that all back. this movie looks really promising

Stumblin - 5/23/2011, 6:19 AM
weneedrevelation, rather be a race of douchebags than morons like yourself. And you're welcome, don't make it so easy next time.

GlowingBall, thanks for the information buddy and aiding my quest to reduce imbeciles.
