He endorses Singer, confirms or reaffirms Sentinels are a big part of the story, and is evading any questions about about Kitty Pryde.

Sounds like Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past is following the original Chris Claremont story arc pretty closely. Check out what comic book writer and 20th Century Fox Creative Consultant Mark Millar has to say about the film in an interview with SFX Magazine.

On the number of X-Men in the film and if any will get lost in the shuffle.
Millar: "It has actually been very well put together – Simon Kinberg and Matthew Vaughn worked on it together and they are both great at what they do. Then Bryan Singer came in, and, of course, he is Mr X-Men and he knows exactly how everything works. Just look at these first two X-Men movies: despite the huge cast of characters it all came together really well. These two movies never felt like overload and the balance was really, really good. On the other hand I though the third film felt crowded, but then Singer is excellent at working with ensemble casts. So with this one I feel it is all fine. I have read the screenplay and it doesn’t feel rushed and it doesn’t feel like it is too many characters.”

On Sentinels and if giant robots are the new trend in Hollywood.
Millar: “I hadn’t actually thought about that [laughs]. Yeah, that is true isn’t it? You will have a couple of big movies with giant robots in them. I don’t really want to give too much away but the Sentinels are a big feature of this story. They will be cool and this will deliver on all of the teasers. We’ve all been waiting for this ever since X-Men: The Last Stand showed us one of their heads. Now it is finally coming, and we only have to pay ten quid to see it in the cinema whereas they’re having to pay $100 million to deliver it. So I’m delighted [laughs].”

On Kitty Pryde.
Millar: “Ach, I cannae get into that [laughs]. As soon as I say something it will turn into a big internet story. Let me put it this way though: Kitty Pride fans will not be disappointed."

Meh Millar often exaggerates like he knows everything so I don't know what to believe.
Also I really wish him and other would stop acting like the first two X-Men films were perfect, they did have flaws.
superotherside - 2/1/2013, 8:23 AM
Sentinels finally! Still I doubt it'll make the movie good.

But that does have me a little more interested...
BigDamnHero - 2/1/2013, 8:30 AM
Awesome. Kitty is my joint favorite member of the X-Men, sharing the spot with Iceman.
ToTheManInTheColdSweat - 2/1/2013, 8:31 AM
miller exaggerates like [frick]. remember when he swore james caviziel was gonna be superman?
ATrueHero1987 - 2/1/2013, 8:31 AM
There was a balance in the first 2 X-Men movies?? Well for the most part in X-Men, yes. X2(which to me is the best X movie to date) sometimes I felt that should've been called Wolverine & The X-Men.

Hell yes to Sentinels! Will the be like how they first appeared(around 10 ft. tall) or the big ass Sentinels we all know and love?

Last, I wonder if Franklin Richards is going to be in this movie??
scapegoatjones - 2/1/2013, 8:33 AM
X2 was mostly solid, but I wouldnt gloat about 1&3.
I'll be glad when and if Dis..errr..Marvel get the properties back so they
can relaunch them and do them justice. And without all the f'd up
team rosters, timeline continuity and general bullshittery.
ATrueHero1987 - 2/1/2013, 8:37 AM
I want to ask, reading this article and others Mark Miller interviews, does it sound like he has a problem with Marvel?
MrLoki - 2/1/2013, 8:39 AM
I agree with every word he says about X-men and X2. Can't wait to see Singer's next big hit!
sameoldthing - 2/1/2013, 8:40 AM
I want the Sentinels to win!
Kill all the X-Men!....Yay!!
Hey,giant robots are awesome.
mumbz - 2/1/2013, 8:40 AM
scottish tw*t
RadicalDuck - 2/1/2013, 8:43 AM
@Marvel87 - I don't know really. Obviously he's kinda working against them, but what makes you think he has a problem?
FennecPilot - 2/1/2013, 8:44 AM
AHHHHH!!!!! He didn't NOT say Cyclops was going to fellate Wolverine in a yellow spandex suit.....what does that mean? I mean, he didn't say it, and he didn't NOT say means something.....

Oh this is going to suck even though it hasn't even finished filming.....I could have done better.....and ***** ratner....and *****millar....damn Singer.....and Black Panther....and everything sucks....ME ME ME ME ME....
DCjohnny - 2/1/2013, 8:44 AM
i hope gambit and cyclopes are there in the movie....
marvel72 - 2/1/2013, 8:46 AM
wolverine & kitty are a must for this movie,i would love to see colossus return in a bigger role.
Spidey91 - 2/1/2013, 8:49 AM
so...there will be Sentinels?! :D
but I don't think they will be giant thou, maybe human sized, kind of like Terminators
BboiBlack - 2/1/2013, 8:50 AM
Miller wrote some kickass Xmen runs(ultimate xmen/wolverine), not to mention numerous other celebrated work. Moreover, he's come down on exactly the right films(notice what he says about X3).

If this dude say's he's excited, it's worth noting.
007michael - 2/1/2013, 8:52 AM
So he confirmed Sentinels?? They just better do it right!!
M3talhead - 2/1/2013, 8:52 AM
It is very unfortunate that Ellen Page is back in a suspected primary role. Her acting is absolutely transparent and teenage typical. Even watching her in Inception was such a significant detraction from the story, I almost hated the movie on her alone.

I cannot understand Hollywood's fascination with her.
gambgel - 2/1/2013, 8:56 AM
excited with Kitty's role!!

if she ends being the time traveler, Im gonna be sooooo happy with this sequel
IIIAdamantiumIII - 2/1/2013, 9:00 AM
What about Rouge ? will we ever get a faithful adaptation of her Character ? She is pretty much a female superman and all we got was a female leech....
Stumblin - 2/1/2013, 9:15 AM
Too late, already disappointed. I'm done with the X-Men movie franchise, none of it makes sense, continuity is screwed...damn it.
Spideyguy94 - 2/1/2013, 9:15 AM
I always thought Ellen page was perfect for kitty pryde.
FirstAvenger - 2/1/2013, 9:18 AM
Why does he talk sooooo, much!?
DavidHaller - 2/1/2013, 9:19 AM
I'm a little confused, it seems like this movie is more the sequel too X3 than the sequel to First Class
gambgel - 2/1/2013, 9:22 AM
it will be really funny the day the teaser trailer arrives and to see most of these haters getting excited for the movie.

if you really think Fox, Singer, Vaugh and Millar will dissapoint this time, after all these years and with current state of comicmovies, you will be proven wrong next year

X-men 3 was on 2006, we are on 2013 now. Totally different times and circunstances.
StephenStrange - 2/1/2013, 9:34 AM
Yesbut jean Grey, Rachel Summers, Cyclops, Iceman, and Angel fans will be mad as hell
deamon - 2/1/2013, 9:50 AM
X2 is stii best movie about X-Men.
Hope this will be even better.
flash17 - 2/1/2013, 9:53 AM
Boooo to Page. Her characters in movies are always so blah and teenage angst. Dont use Kitty. Use Forge and Cable. It would be so kick ass like the 90s cartoon. or recast Kitty as a better actress.

Also, recast Rogue. We need a hotter than hot heck female in this role. Sorry but Sooki has got a real busted face. Rogue was always the hottest on the team in my opinion.

I'm a huge Gambit fan but only do him if its right. Dont force him in. Would love Josh Holloway to pick it up as an older Gambit for future scenes.
StrangerX - 2/1/2013, 9:55 AM
I hope they do a good job with the sentinal CGI. Make it look similar to Pacific Rim
gambgel - 2/1/2013, 9:57 AM
mmm, Millar didnt like the headlines.
the Kitty role is definetly a mistery.
SpacePope - 2/1/2013, 10:10 AM
This movie needs a proper Colossus, he was criminally overlooked in X2 and 3.
StephenStrange - 2/1/2013, 10:31 AM
lol @ Gusto!! Nice
CaptainAmerica - 2/1/2013, 10:42 AM
@Gusto, that looks more like your vibrator.
DrDoom - 2/1/2013, 11:05 AM
I think we need ten more articles on main about Mark Millar not saying anything in particular.
DurtyTalynt - 2/1/2013, 11:39 AM
So spiderman movies were said to be produced with upwards of $200 million dollar budgets but xmen is supposed to have multiple characters and sentinels is made for less than half that. Again no thanks. I have no clue what mr. Millars involvment is but since its with fox its not gonna be good enough to make a actual xmen movie. I look for not alot of movement from the robots and less action.
polarkyle - 2/1/2013, 11:43 AM
if they bring back kitty then they have to bring colossus back too i mean come on.
tripttwe - 2/1/2013, 11:46 AM
Bryan Miller is "Mr. X-Men"??? I wasn't born with enough middle fingers...
caveman - 2/1/2013, 11:48 AM
@DurtyTalynt He didn't say that it's the budget for the whole film, think he's just throwing a big number out there..
Jackraow21 - 2/1/2013, 12:11 PM
Forge and Cable. That's how they go back in time...or at least how they should.
superpooper - 2/1/2013, 12:24 PM
"{Bryan Singer} is mr xmen and he knows exactly how everything works"? I thought I hated Mark Millar but I wasn't quite sure why. Now I know. [frick] this guy.
