New Image From THE WOLVERINE Revealed

Featuring the Wolverine versus ninjas, a new still photo has been released from the James Mangold-directed film, The Wolverine, starring Hugh Jackman. Check it out after the jump...

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.

Thanks to @ALEXTownsend6 for the heads up. Directed by James Mangold and starring Hugh Jackman, Will Yun Lee, Hiroyuki Sanada, Tao Okamoto and Svetlana Khodchenkova, The Wolverine is set to hit theatres on July 26, 2013.

not a fan of Jackman as the Wolverine too, @Nomis.
Loved him in first X-Men (breakthrough performance, the strongest one), he was really good in X2. In X3 he was off most of the time. 50/50 in Origins, i guess.

Waiting for him to shine in this one.

lol @ the comments.

@Nomis this Marvel87, I wanted to know. Are you a brotha?
unknownfacts - 4/11/2013, 7:55 PM
Costumes could only work if the make it it feels natural. Maybe after seeing Spider-man or the Avengers save New York the X-Men realize that the public will be less afraid of them in colorful costumes instead of black leather costumes or something like that.It was mentioned in the comics once.
DanteSparda - 4/11/2013, 8:50 PM
Simple answer, Wolverine doesn't have healing powers in the movie, he have to sneak in Shingen's castle which is full of ninjas, so he should dress like one of them to hide in the dark, but instead of wearing a ninja outfit he gets a more protective costume, one that resembles his classic costume but in darker colors, or just the X-Force costume.
