Patrick Stewart And Ian McKellen Talk X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

Patrick Stewart And Ian McKellen Talk X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

Will X-Men: Days of Future Past be Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen's last X-Men film? What do the two think of their younger counterparts, Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy?

Days of Future Past Magneto Prof X

Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen joke that they know nothing aboutX-Men: Apocalypse, which probably means they're not in the next X-Men installment that follows Days of Future Past. Stewart also talks about filming scenes with McAvoy while McKellen states his Magento and Fassbender's version are still very much different versions.

These screenshots make First Class look like a rom-com

McNyagano - 12/17/2013, 5:14 PM
My most anticipated cbm next year. Can't wait!!
beane2099 - 12/17/2013, 5:17 PM
I swear Patrick Stewart ages at like 1/100th the rate of normal humans. You can see that time has caught up to him a little bit in this video ( especially in the voice) but it's so slight.
Dmon - 12/17/2013, 5:18 PM
I am predicting this will make only around 400 mil
Jollem - 12/17/2013, 5:20 PM
origins was the only one i didn't really care for. there's a handful of good stuff i can say about it, tho
yonny616 - 12/17/2013, 5:21 PM
Wait so Fassbender said no to a Future Magneto meeting Past Magneto. If true [frick] YOU! I would have loved to seen a scene like that, at least ONE.

Anyway, this movie is going to be a soft reboot to keep the younger cast around. Also when these two legends pass away (hopefully not anytime soon) it'll be a sad day in the cinema world.
McNyagano - 12/17/2013, 5:24 PM

"I am predicting this will make only around 400 mil"

Nah it will make around 600 to 700 mil ww. :)
JoJo1982 - 12/17/2013, 5:25 PM
It's crazy, a year from now

Dmon - 12/17/2013, 5:27 PM
@McNyagano And you base this of what?
Spideyshawn - 12/17/2013, 5:29 PM
TheRealRemyLebeau - 12/17/2013, 5:29 PM
Smh.....................great actors. Dry ass movies.
Dmon - 12/17/2013, 5:31 PM
Singer reminds me of women in their 40's who wear Ed Hardy and get botox injections in a sad attempt to relive their better days.
Humby - 12/17/2013, 5:32 PM
I've said it before, and this pretty much confirms it. This movie is basically acknowledging that X-Men:First Class should have never been a prequel, so instead they come up with a plot that allows them to basically throw away the original movies and continue, unrestricted, with the world that was established in First Class. I wont take issue with that so long as they can do so somewhat intelligently.
McNyagano - 12/17/2013, 5:32 PM

"And you base this of what?"

Nothing, just guessing the numbers that's all. It will do between 400 and 600 mil. 700 is a stretch but we'll see.
TheRealRemyLebeau - 12/17/2013, 5:32 PM
@DMON I'm with you. $250-$300 and so on budget that will be wasted by receiving a $400 and possibly $495 million gross. Dofp is D.O.A.
TheRealRemyLebeau - 12/17/2013, 5:34 PM
I meant $250-$300 million and so on ^^^^
TheRealRemyLebeau - 12/17/2013, 5:37 PM
Blu ray is amazing!!! My first one was the dark knight. I never noticed until Blu ray that the string on the jokers fake bombs at beginning intro were purple!! The detail that Blu ray shows is unbelievable.
McNyagano - 12/17/2013, 5:37 PM
"I'd say this one will clock in no lower than $600M, which still won't be enough to recoup that ridiculous budget but will still be respectable"

My thoughts too. Does anyone else know the budget for the film. I heard it was around 250-280 million.
JoJo1982 - 12/17/2013, 5:38 PM

lol same thing

and yes i got a blu ray
JoJo1982 - 12/17/2013, 5:39 PM
how else could i watched my Unrated Wolverine movie
ATrueHero1987 - 12/17/2013, 5:39 PM
@0megaDaGod I got a pretty big blu ray collection now(including the phase 1 collection). With all the movies coming out over the next 2 years, it's going to get more ridiculous.smh

....and yes, I get the 3D versions of movies(if possible) as
Humby - 12/17/2013, 5:40 PM
Oh, and prediction time...

Aside from Wolverine, none of the original cast will meet the new cast except for McAvoy and Stewart. And it will only happen in their minds.

First quarter of this movie takes place in the present/future, the remainder takes place entirely in the past. Wolverine's mind is the only thing that travels back in time. Once Xavier comes to terms with what Wolverine was sent to do, he'll be able to come face to face with his future self (only in his mind, have you).
ATrueHero1987 - 12/17/2013, 5:41 PM
I haven't even got my copy of RED2, F&F6, and Elysium yet.
Dmon - 12/17/2013, 5:42 PM
@TheRealRemyLebeau This is how I watch X-Men films. I have not paid for a single one since X2. :D

Jollem - 12/17/2013, 5:42 PM
reynolds was a good wade
JoJo1982 - 12/17/2013, 5:46 PM
my first blu ray movie was when Inception came out and I was hooked on how great it looked.... plus its the reason i lost a lot of my hearing now, lol
MrCameron - 12/17/2013, 5:47 PM
Love both actors. If this really is their last X-Men film, then I gotta say, great run guys, thanks for the memories!

2014 is gonna be great for CBMs. We all like to talk about which company will "win," but the real winners are us, the fans, since we're living in the Golden Age of CBMs.
McNyagano - 12/17/2013, 5:48 PM
Since we're talking deadpool....

MrCameron - 12/17/2013, 5:49 PM
@ BlackJack10

IMO, Reynolds should come back to play Deadpool. If not, try and find another big name for the role like you said (I'm thinking Jim Carrey).
BigChuter - 12/17/2013, 5:49 PM
If Seth Macfarlane were cast as Deadpool, I would get a boner, but be really confused about it. It could be really awesome or really dreadful. A very interesting idea.
MrCameron - 12/17/2013, 5:50 PM
@ McNyagano

SpideyQuad - 12/17/2013, 5:51 PM
What else are they going to talk about? Broadway or Hamlet?
Jollem - 12/17/2013, 5:53 PM
we're in good times for cbms. not the "golden age"
TheRationalNerd - 12/17/2013, 5:54 PM
If I was mangold I would have honestly made X-Men Origins: Wolverine a giant dream sequence for wolverine. Just like in the Weapon X comic book. It would have been a great way to redo Wolverine's origin of joining Weapon X since a much younger William Stryker is set to appear in DoFP.
Jollem - 12/17/2013, 5:57 PM
ooh. carrey as jj. i like it. i'll put that in there with john c. mcginley and hugh laurie
Jollem - 12/17/2013, 6:03 PM
@BlackJack - mr. simmons was bombastic and awesome. i wouldn't mind if he came back
