140 Minutes omg it gets worst... 80 mins is enough!

THOR should have been 3 hours!
sweetre15 - 5/10/2011, 11:26 AM
@Lee777: Gotta admit...that's a vastly superior runtime compared to Fox's dumbed down 1:30 minute releases with Last Stand and Wolverine, right?
since86 - 5/10/2011, 11:30 AM
true true and my only complaint about Thor was it could have been longer for more character development but I think with all they need to cover this is perfect. There is so much going on they are covering WWII the Cuban Missile Crisis along with the history of these characters. For todays younger crowds and new generation of comic fans that's a lot at once you can't make it short.
spidey1994 - 5/10/2011, 11:36 AM
2 and half hours?! They must have alot in this film then!
LucasMend - 5/10/2011, 11:37 AM
2 hours and 20 minutes of my life that I would regret spending on a cinema.
zemus - 5/10/2011, 11:38 AM
I'm going to wait to judge this movie till I see it. Every preview looks better and better. I don't want to be one of those people who complains online about how bad a movie looks then praise it once I see it (95% of the people on here).
Sephiroth925 - 5/10/2011, 11:39 AM
[frick] YES! Fox is finally doing shit right.
JosePetrelli12 - 5/10/2011, 11:39 AM
Thats good news, now we will have time for the characters to be fleshed out and built upon, instead of just thrown together (Looking at you Wolverine:Borigins)
Sourpatch64 - 5/10/2011, 11:40 AM
You tell em Zemus!!! Then give us your phone number :) haha
nuck82 - 5/10/2011, 11:45 AM

LEEE777 - 5/10/2011, 11:45 AM
Sweetre15 @ It just makes it more painful to watch through... thinking what could have been! ; P

MARVEL @ HAHA exactly! ; D

TAB @ But we know they've [frick]ed soooooooo much up already, that its already ruined?

: p
CaptAmazingly - 5/10/2011, 11:49 AM
Kinda short compared to X-2, that was longer (i think). I can't wait to see this flick!
AlcoholicA - 5/10/2011, 11:55 AM
Can't help but think what Marvel could do with a 2 hour and 20 minute X-Men movie........Still hoping this will be good though.
kurekurcubic - 5/10/2011, 11:59 AM
actually x2 was 133 minutes long.i love when these big movies are over 2 hours long.we are waiting for them for so long and i dont want to just sit there for 80,90 minutes like priest.thor should have been this long with 20 more minutes of action and asgard stuff.
BobHasMyPants - 5/10/2011, 12:01 PM
yeah buddy!
MrLoki - 5/10/2011, 12:05 PM
OMG!!!! Let it be true, let it be true, let it be true, let it be true....
HulkPool - 5/10/2011, 12:06 PM
Wouldn't you be wasting a few minutes of your lives by reading about and complaining about a film you say u won't see, then why do you care I you don't wanna see it?
drfate - 5/10/2011, 12:07 PM
just saw Thor last night and it was a great ride. Best CBM to date! It was action packed, beautifully filmed - Loki damn near stole the show! I will be seeing it again, but First Class?

I'm gonna wait for more reviews before I spend my money there. I will definitely not be seeing it first night.
HulkPool - 5/10/2011, 12:07 PM
Not tryin to call any one out just an observation
LEEE777 - 5/10/2011, 12:07 PM
TABS @ I knew BORIGINS would suck and it did...

This will make even X3 look a masterpiece!

ORIGINAL 5 X-MEN would have been the only thing to make this movie awesome!!!

Even without them, Fox might have got away with it if they didn't butt [frick] half the characters!

Damn insult and yes @ TEA, Smallville too, but a part from the wedding bit in the final its gonna be as good as it used to be!

But yeah CW is like the small screen version of FOX!

But at least they got their sh1t together in the finale! :P

Bottom line is, theres no excuse for X3, BORIGINS, FIST A$$ & SMALLVILLE SEASONS 8 to 10!
LEEE777 - 5/10/2011, 12:08 PM
SPACE GHOST @ Hellz yeah to that man!!!
bfprimetime - 5/10/2011, 12:10 PM

IronicMan - 5/10/2011, 12:11 PM
Was not expecting it to be over 100 minutes... but bring it on! Love all the previews...
oh ps, haters gonna hate.
cjkalel - 5/10/2011, 12:17 PM
Everymovie should be atleast 140 mins
Ryguy88 - 5/10/2011, 12:17 PM
First Class is 25 mins longer than Thor because it probably has a story with depth to tell. Thor was fun and all, but what was the point? Why did we need to worry that the Frost Giants would threaten the Asgardian's "way of life?"(Which was what exactly??) Or that the Destroyer would lay waste to a town that could be evacuated in 5 minutes? Plus putting up zero resistance when Thor (surpirze, surprize) got his powers back (Through his Hammer. Was that in the comics?) I'll say it again, I liked Thor, but I will never confuse it with a movie that is more than a good action flick.

Marvel should have went the epic fantasy route and made Thor longer with more of a Lord of the Rings style story to tell with Thor and the Warriors 3 going on a quest that had some purpose to it! But they took the safe way out and made a formulaic action movie which was entertaining, but lacking.

First Class looks like it could be beating Thor in both story and box office $$$ so far!!!

gambgel - 5/10/2011, 12:17 PM
if true, it can be the x-men movie with the best character development from the whole franchise.

I want to believe this.

@tebag's last comment...nail.on.head. Stupidity is the highest form of entertainment
valeriesghost - 5/10/2011, 12:49 PM
as soon as i saw the headline to this article i just knew people were gonna bitch about it.

it wouldn't be a CBM comment section if there was no bitching, even about the run time of a movie not a single one of us has seen.

amazing. and congrats to us all, we've set a standard and stuck to it :)

I [frick]ing love this site :)

that being said: 2 hours 20 minutes!?! [frick] meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!
xXkryptoniteXx - 5/10/2011, 12:56 PM
Wow another long movie, why can't they just trim it down? 2hours and 20mins. I support this movie but never was I a fan of movies that took too long, king kong, transformers revenge of the fallen, fast five etc. Just please let this movie be good and interesting for people to sit in the theaters for 2hours and 20 mins. If this flick is like x3 or origins I'm walking out, if it's boring like king kong, I'm out.
xXkryptoniteXx - 5/10/2011, 12:59 PM
@teabag lmao

That is long, I'll have to bring an empty bottle to piss in. Seems like the older I get the less I can hold it. Maybe I need to get my prostate looked at.... ;)
Gauntlet - 5/10/2011, 1:24 PM
Thursday night good for you, Tea? The usual rate? :)
MovieTheaterLad - 5/10/2011, 1:37 PM

A guy at my theater did that during the Incredible Hulk. A couple of audience members roughed him up and a big security guard kicked his ass out.

Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend it.
Horsemanofwar - 5/10/2011, 1:50 PM
Cant wait for this one!
deamon - 5/10/2011, 1:59 PM
LEEE777 just go away you fuc... troll.
140 min is ideal, hope this movie will be good as X2.
SeaSerpentine - 5/10/2011, 2:01 PM
Too long!
ThomYorke - 5/10/2011, 2:07 PM
140 minutes? yeah this is gonna be the best film this year
gambgel - 5/10/2011, 2:18 PM
a french site says its 130 min.
