Only second? That sucks, it deserves more. KEEP GOING X-MEN
Abary - 6/22/2014, 9:11 AM
Definitely the greatest X-flick of all time.
Gyasiman - 6/22/2014, 9:16 AM
I'm still not sure if this was better then First Class. Both were completely amazing though.
KingPatel - 6/22/2014, 9:17 AM
You mean domestically, cause it's already the most successful X-Men film of all-time worldwide
themidnightking - 6/22/2014, 9:17 AM
Should be first IMO
KurtWagner1225 - 6/22/2014, 9:19 AM
themidnightking-yeah it should be, i loved this movie,i think fox has made 5 out of 7 good x men films, x1 was good, x2 was really good, x3 was bad , so was x men origins wolverine, first class is my second favorite now, the wolverine was solid imo and this was great so 5 out of 7 good movies isnt bad by any means imo
AlexanderLykins - 6/22/2014, 9:21 AM

soforizo - 6/22/2014, 9:22 AM
I'd be shocked if it passes X3, due to the World Cup bringing all movies down. But it would be good if it did.
KurtWagner1225 - 6/22/2014, 9:22 AM
cant wait for x men apocalypse, i know simon kinberg has said that First class was Eriks movie (to a degree) and DOFP was Charles movie and Apocalypse is suppose to be both Erik and Charles movie
grif - 6/22/2014, 9:23 AM
2nd in terms of us boxoffice. worldwide it has killed anything that came before it.
soforizo - 6/22/2014, 9:24 AM

I've enjoyed all X-Men movies (with varying degrees).
Bekss - 6/22/2014, 9:24 AM
I thought X-men would beat Cap2 but the internatinal boxoffice had a big drop this week. Let's see what happens.
ASM2 in now out of the game for biggest boxffice for a CBM this year
KurtWagner1225 - 6/22/2014, 9:25 AM
soforizo-thats fine,im not a fan of X3 and Origins at all,i think those are just bad movies
marvel72 - 6/22/2014, 9:28 AM
this is how i rate the x-men films.

1st x-men days of future past 5/5
2nd x-men 2 5/5

3rd the wolverine extended cut 4/5

4th x-men 2/5
5th x-men first class 2/5

6th x-men the last stand 1/5
7th x-men origins wolverine 1/5
JoJo1982 - 6/22/2014, 9:28 AM

Well they have to added the international grossing to this x-men this weekend yet
But I'm sure once it does, it should be at or close to 700 million
Starscream22 - 6/22/2014, 9:28 AM
Meh, its still crap...Just have to wait a while longer to see Marvel make a real X-men film. The real loser is Sony who's now lowest on the totem pole as far as CBM's go.

Looking forward to Winter Soldier on Blu-ray. Now bring on GOTG to knock out all this negativity Fox keeps causing.

Bekss - 6/22/2014, 9:29 AM

It could still pass X3 because the World Cup is not that big in the US but I don't think it will,
Pasto - 6/22/2014, 9:29 AM
Someone needs to take the wind out of this films sails.
DR3D - 6/22/2014, 9:29 AM
X3... so many bad memories.
KurtWagner1225 - 6/22/2014, 9:31 AM
soforizo-thats fine,im not a fan of X3 and Origins at all
SageMode - 6/22/2014, 9:32 AM
"..........I know simon kinberg has said that First class was Eriks movie (to a degree) and DOFP was Charles movie and Apocalypse is suppose to be both Erik and Charles movie"

That's the problem, it's should be an X-MEN movie.
Bekss - 6/22/2014, 9:32 AM

Yeah but the boxoffice of the week was only 5 millions so the weekend won't be more than 7. Seeing the drops of Cap2 it should have made 12 in the week and 10 in the weekend (22 millions)
ALegendaryPanda - 6/22/2014, 9:33 AM
This movie is already the highest grossing X-Men film of all time worldwide. So I'm pretty happy about that, now if they could just get to 700 million...
Pasto - 6/22/2014, 9:33 AM
Add that to the list of '100 Reasons why Fox Does not Know What it is Doing'.
KurtWagner1225 - 6/22/2014, 9:34 AM
sagemode-i can understand that but in terms of the movies, that is my favorite relationship so im excited for that

i really like first class becuase of their relationships, shaw imo is a really cool villain,i like his relationship with magneto,i love all, but i dont love First class, its really good but i dont love because the other mutants besides beast and mystique who have kind of an arc, but the other mutants are kinda just there imo
JoJo1982 - 6/22/2014, 9:37 AM

Huh? Well it's pretty hard to do that when ya got about 10 big movies out with it
JoJo1982 - 6/22/2014, 9:38 AM
And also you really can't compare this movie with Cap2
I don't see why ppl keep on doing that
DrNomid - 6/22/2014, 9:38 AM
Those numbers aren't worldwide
MexicanSuperman - 6/22/2014, 9:38 AM
@ Young Thanos, did you see it? Or are you just saying it's shit without seeing it because you ride on the Marvel Studios' d all day long?
Pasto - 6/22/2014, 9:39 AM
I hope to the lord above that GOTG demolishes this piece of crap.
JoJo1982 - 6/22/2014, 9:39 AM

Lol well u might get disappointed in ppl's taste when T4 comes out next weekend
CherryBomb - 6/22/2014, 9:39 AM
Well deserved. It was a fantastic movie.
Pasto - 6/22/2014, 9:40 AM
MexicanSuperman - 6/22/2014, 9:40 AM
@SageMode, we get it. You don't have to keep repeating yourself.
grif - 6/22/2014, 9:40 AM
august will definitely be a wildcard movie month.
sin city 2
ThePowerCosmic - 6/22/2014, 9:42 AM
X2 is still my favorite.

When Mystique hacks Strykers computer files of known mutants you see the name Nathaniel Essex! Gave me chills...but we still haven't seen Sinister unfortunately. Overall X2 was near perfect.
KurtWagner1225 - 6/22/2014, 9:43 AM
JOJO-i have a feeling that guardians might do very well cause this week got Transformers age of extinction which is the only release i think this week, next week we got the supernatural horror film from the guy who is doing Doctor Strange called Deliver us From Evil, we got a comedy with Tammy and we got a found footage sci fi film in Earth to Echo, then the following, we only have Dawn of the Planet of the Apes on Jul 11, then we got on Jul 18, a horror film in The Purge Anarchy, a comedy in Sex Tape and a animated film in Planes:fire and rescue and then on Jul 25( COMIC CON WEEKEND, WOAHHHHHH!!) we got Hercule and Lucy(which looks really cool imo) and then the week after we have Guardians of the galaxy whcih is the only release that week ,i have a feeling the lack of a superhero film since x men which was in may might help it cause audience might not have superhero fatigue and i have heard the movie hasbeen tracking well so we will see..fingers crossed its good and successful
Bekss - 6/22/2014, 9:43 AM

I compare it with Cap2 because is the same kind of movie with similar numbers in the boxffice.
Tha's why boxoffice analysts compare CBMs with CBMs
AntMan - 6/22/2014, 9:43 AM
Phenomenal movie! I'm glad it's doing well.
Enphlieuwince - 6/22/2014, 9:44 AM
That's pretty awesome. At this rate though, I don't see it surpassing X3 domestically. It needs $17.6M roughly. It has been a step behind CA:TWS's domestic gross from day one and that movie has amassed about $13M following its 5th weekend. At the current trajectory, it's unlikely it will make enough to beat X3. It's nothing to be ashamed of though.
