Hey guys let me get to the basics. I'm aware it's not the first class and I know the movie continuity is screwed up but I don't care. I'm here to discuss the accuracy of the movie not the franchise.

While sifting through my updated version of the marvel encylopedia looking up the X-Men (I saw the movie Friday so I'm still giddy over it) I noticed that what some "die hard X-men fans overlooked.

1. It turns out that the whole CIA recruiting the team IS accurate. The only changes is that it's the FBI in the comics and it's not to fight the hellfire club; just find mutants.

2. Also, in the film the Prof. finds mutants using an early cerebro...which was also done in the comics BY THE GOVERNMENT!

3. The man in black in the film was in the comics, by the name of Duncan, and helped the professor.

4. This isn't a big surprise but in the comics the Prof. was the foremost authority in mutations; which was also utilized in First Class.

5. Now some people stated that the Hellfire Club wasn't portrayed correctly. Acctually it was. Minus the 18th century feel it served its purpose which was to tailor to high-end people and let them flaunt their deepest desires while the inner circle plots against humans through government.

Now I hope I informed some people and if anyone knew this already don't put an obnoxious comment because I don't care. I did this to inform not offend or bore so on that note I hope you had a good read and check the reviews for my latest Avengers: EMH review! MARVELFREEK OUT!!!

@earzmundo I wasnt referring to the people in the club I was talking about the purpose the club served in the film, which was accurate. Honestly the characters portrayed would not have made a difference but everyone has their own opinion and I repect and commend yours. So my argument is not moot. It is in fact rather correct and as a "true fan" I stand by my decision.

I will admit members were missing but its just the first movie. No one ever said the hellfire club was obsolete. It may just transfirm into the brotherhood.

lol thats not called being accurate, thats called using elements from the comics. Accurate would mean that every thing would be the same as the comic and it wasn't accurate. Honestly I don't mind the changes they worked, long as the changes made work don't have problem at all. Hope fully the students get more screen time in the sequel and more focus on the Prof

For the record in no way was this article meant to say the ENTIRE movie was accurate. Just elements. I wouldn't post something if i didn't have my facts straight the movie wasn't accurate but the foundation was there as I stated in those facts so if anyone wants to nit pick over why certain things weren't righ take it somewhere else please.

X-Men First Class may be comic accurate, but sadly it is not movie accurate. In the opening scene of X-Men Last Stand, we find an aged (read: bald), fully mobile Professor X ambling up to the house of one Jean Gray, yet in First Class, the Professor is shot and "can't feel his legs" while he is still young and fresh faced with a full head of hair. Just noticed this tonight during my X-Men marathon.

Cheers!
