spiderclone - 11/12/2012, 4:14 PM
had some good bond moments, but was lenghty and ......spoiler.......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................hated how silva was killed off, id have though a guy thats meant to be smarter and a better agent than bond should have gone fisticuffs and i didnt see the point when he revealed his monster mouth, yeah he didnt die from cyanide but it should have been used again and have relevence later in the film, in all i give it 5/10
edmundo - 11/12/2012, 4:25 PM

LorenzoVonMatterhorn93 - 11/12/2012, 4:44 PM

California - 11/12/2012, 5:01 PM
POS movie! The middle on could have been a bad made for TV movie. The first half was good but then it veered into idiot land.
lukasbolander - 11/12/2012, 5:42 PM
hated it
ThePowerCosmic - 11/12/2012, 6:07 PM
Excellent film.
thejon93rd - 11/12/2012, 6:51 PM
Thought this film was great, not perfect, just a really great Bond movie. It felt refreshing to watch, unlike Quantum of Solace which was just kind of boring, because this one had some real, genuine moments of peril and danger for the characters to face (especially when Silver's trying to get to M once he breaks out, I thought that was really tense). I loved Judi Dench in this film and it would be great to see her win an Oscar for this role because she's as much of a star as James Bond himself is. Daniel Craig was great too.

The one moment that stuck out to me though was when Bond just let that guy snipe the other guy across the building from him, but... then again Bond isn't trying his best to be a hero. Other than that, I loved this movie and it gets better the more I think of it (I'm probably going to see it again sometime soon before it exits theatres, which won't be for a while judging from how well it's doing). Javier Bardem might be my favourite Bond villain. All of his scenes are fantastic, but his first scene with Bond tied up is absolutely perfect (by far the best scene in the film). Rarely do I feel so many varying emotions when it comes to movie villains nowadays, especially within a single scene, but this villain had me laughing at certain points, had me genuinely disturbed and terrified at others.

In a way, it's easy to tell that Bardem was inspired by Ledger's Joker from The Dark Knight for his role in Skyfall and it pays off big-time IMO. He might just be my favourite thing about the movie and I'd love to see him win yet another Supporting Actor Oscar for this just like he did for No Country. Anyhow, nothing much to complain about this movie really. Maybe it was a tad bit too long at times, but that's basically the same thing for every movie that's over 2 hours these days, so all-in-all, this movie was great. All of the haters on here probably prefer Moonraker over Casino Royale anyway.
Otter2269 - 11/12/2012, 7:31 PM
Horrible movie. Why critics loved this I will never know. Been a Bond fan for quite a while and this was probably the worst I've seen. First half was alright, and then it just went to crap. I went with 4 other Bond fans and we walked out with 30 minutes left in the movie so we could get our money back.
gmckoy - 11/12/2012, 7:40 PM
loved it, very personal, insightful, eloquent

best to date with casino royale
Maximus101 - 11/12/2012, 7:58 PM
It was amazing but I still think casino royale is my favorite bond reason being that skyfall did have a few slow parts but I understand it was for the bigger picture
backup - 11/12/2012, 8:10 PM
I thought it was unnecessarily campy in some parts. Ya know you have a great product let it sell itself. Cmon if we want to see that we could watch the old ones. I liked to dark serious unforgiving mood set by the former two. I didnt feel that in this one. Although it was more than one scene.
Hulksmash77 - 11/12/2012, 8:16 PM
Best Bond in YEARS. Definitely tied with Casino Royal for best Bond movie ever!
What a great movie for the 50th anniversary!!!
BossVersion1 - 11/12/2012, 8:59 PM
I had to pick the second option. Skyfall was only the seventh Bond film I've seen.
PistonSmash - 11/12/2012, 9:25 PM
@JokerFanHAhaHA It's SILVA. Look it up
zerotheherox19 - 11/12/2012, 9:47 PM
Not the best ever but close.
geeekgod - 11/12/2012, 11:10 PM
easily the best bond film we've seen from daniel craig,
and one of the best overall
technodrome518 - 11/12/2012, 11:15 PM
Best Bond villain.
jsmith357 - 11/12/2012, 11:41 PM
Ralph Fiennes, Naomi Harris and the new Q were all excellent additions to the series IMO
dreamactor - 11/13/2012, 12:48 AM
Well I've haven't seen it yet but I will. I think it will be great & more Exciting.
SuperSomething616 - 11/13/2012, 4:49 AM
EEEEEEPPPPPPIIIIIICCCCCC!!! Especially the last 5 minutes of the film...people who have seen it will know exactly what i mean...
GodzillaKart - 11/13/2012, 7:19 AM
Really fantastic. I really didn't care about Bond anymore before Daniel Craig took over. This is the best of the best.
SWelch - 11/13/2012, 7:36 AM

Ok I can see that you didn't like it but to say that it was so bad that you walked out just to get your money back is crazy. It's sad you couldn't wait 30 minutes to finish the movie. If I was the theater I would have said no money back. If you stayed for more than half the movie you shouldn't get your money back.

Even not likeing it it could not have been that bad to walk out.

Skyfall is and was the best Bond movie since Goldfinger. These last three movies have done more to captured the character that Fleming wrote. I would say the only other other Bond to come close to that was Timothy Dalton.

I don't know if you have read the Fleming novels but if you haven't you should and you will see what I am talking about.
dezdigi - 11/13/2012, 8:23 AM
The new series has breathed new life into the Bond franchise. Craig is the second best Bond and the hero we need right now ... or whatever.
fceeviper - 11/13/2012, 9:05 AM
It was good, but not perfect.
MyInnerDork - 11/13/2012, 9:35 AM
This movie could've done without the first half of it ... man was it slow and drawn out. Last half of the movie was much better but it was still, "Meh."
GUNSMITH - 11/13/2012, 10:22 AM
kirbyman - 11/13/2012, 11:09 AM
Agreed might not be everybody's cup of tea but the pre credit scene and breathtaking cinematography were outstanding, incredible vistas and use of silhouettes worth the price of admission alone, snappy dialogue too, looks like Mendes can direct Action and still engage brain.
JP22 - 11/13/2012, 2:25 PM
I enjoyed the movie but there were too many parts that didn't make sense. One stated above was M waiving around a flashlight while she is supposed to be hiding was really stupid. Another was the sniper scene in the glass office. Made no sense and had no pertenance to rest of the movie. And how about the woman tied to the rock. I know bond is not trying to be a hero but come on. No attempt at all to save that one. Must not have been any good in the sack.
IIIAdamantiumIII - 11/13/2012, 4:54 PM
I love bond films, and this was one of the best.
AsianVersionOfET - 11/13/2012, 5:56 PM
Thought it was pretty meh. Casino Royale is SO much better it's not even funny.
DoubleD - 11/13/2012, 6:47 PM
This movie sucked. Terrible James Bond movie. Way to many plot holes
goo - 11/13/2012, 8:25 PM
Good, very good.
AnotherSinisterClone - 11/13/2012, 9:12 PM
my new least fav bond movie. so bummed i wasted 2 hours.
Maximus101 - 11/14/2012, 10:46 AM
@doubleD get a life man.
Vital - 11/14/2012, 3:42 PM
I was kind of bored actually. I never get bored in a Bond film lol. It was too slow. It was a 2 & 1/2 hour film that could have been 1 hr & 45 minutes tops. The stolen plot devices really bothered me. You know what I'm talking about the whole Joker scene of the bad guy "wanting to be caught so he can [frick] up shit from the inside" bit from TDK kind of pissed me off. Not to mention that they stole their own film franchise's other film plot of having the bad guy be a former agent (006 from Goldeneye anybody?) who was no where near as cool as Sean Bean. Javier was just awkward and weird lol.

I also didn't like any of the characters for the first time in any Bond film they didn't give us any characters to like, besides Ralph Fiennes, who was barely in the film, and you didn't like him til the end. Moneypenny pissed me off cause she shot Bond instead of waiting like an intelligent person lol. M was a super bitch in this movie, moreso than previous films, and it was annoying. Her character was also stupid as well, ordering Moneypenny to shoot when she has no idea what the situation is like because she can't [frick]ing see what's going on. All of those agents who were compromised and killed was HER fault, since she basically killed Bond herself, and letting the bad guy get away with the secret information. The movie was full of stupid shit like that and it moved too slow for my liking. The best part? The house blowing up and the little shot glass aim game scenes were the only good ones.
movie1 - 1/22/2013, 8:28 PM
Completely agree with Vital. Moreso, there are too many more idiotic things to complain about that made the film an utter joke IMO. I'd heard so many good reviews I was expecting something better than the last two disappointments and unfortunately was even more disappointed than I could have imagined. No strike that....I was angry and wanted a refund. Let's list a few reasons....

1. Why the hell does M and the groundskeeper who you would think knows the grounds blindfolded need a flashlight and then is stupid enough to be waving it around like a search beacon...WTF?
2. How the hell does Bond make it through a drop in the water from what must have been over 150 feet and after floating around underwater miraculously show up in some tropical paradise with a hot chick as though it were a swim in the pool....WTF?
3. How does Bond miraculously find a flare under ice cold lake in pitch dark conditions (The same conditions that required M and the GK to need a flashlight) and then escape back to shore like the man from atlantis....WTF?
4. Why did I waste good money on this film? Oh yeah I thought it was going to be a Bond film....not Home Alone meets The Dark Knight, meets a bad imitation of the Bourne Identity. WTF

Oh yeah...I liked the 30 second reveal of the old DB5....and some real Bond music. As for the main title song....meh. This is way better:

I suggest....they not only cast a NEW Bond that is less like Mark Walberg and more like Sean Connery they go back to formula....enough with the derivative fodder.
