Magneto Movie Update!

David Goyer gives us the latest on the magnetic mutant's movie.

This will be another "well if they do it right the movie will be good" movies. Chances are looking positive with Mr. Goyer attached to the film.

	Goyer was the ONLY reason why Blade Tinity SUCKED. So i don't concider him a "good" thing to have on board as long as: 1- He doesn't direct 2- Hands his writing to a true writer to "polish" 3- He doesn't direct Oh and Ed Harris for Magneto in First Class as Xavier's school's head master!!! 	The problem is , Magneto needs to "suit up" otherwise its not really the Magneto that we want. To do that you will have to create a reality like what was done in Star Wars. Where it is acceptable and Respected that someone should wear a helmet and suit I.E. Boba Fett. And lets be honest ... a magneto movie is a one off and in One offs you almost never get the suit, unless they just go for the whole comic feel. 	I really wouldnt bother to go and see this. We've already had Magneto for 3 movies and his origins arent even that interesting! If they're that desperate to show us his origins then do it in the first 15mins of First Class - thats all the time they'd need rather than stretchng it out and [frick]ing it up!!! 	if they were to do a magneto movie, i would not know how they would do it. the film would have to be a period piece like the upcoming captain america. i have read that the writers were going for the 1960's. a time when magneto wasn't magneto but he has better mastery over his powers. the film would also explore his relationship with charles xavier and how it ended. unfortunately, i have no idea about the casting. @shaman ed harris is a great actor and could probably show magneto's erratic and misguided behavior but i fear he may be too old for the role. and as for who would play the prof....... anyone's guess is as good as mine. 	Not sure this should even go ahead! They seem to have too much branching on off the main track it's getting ridiculous. The X-Men have plenty of life left and that's what they should work on (imo). 	Howlett04 & Wadey09- Going by the already established continuity in the X-Films, Magneto would be in his 50ies while being head master at Xavier's institute. Ed Harris would be wrong for an origin film but not a First Class film. And McKellen did not a have a british accent in the movies so i don't think a brit would fit. 	My take on David Goyer... Great writer, case in point, when he wrote the script for the first two Blade movies, and co-wrote it with Nolan on Batman Begins and Dark Knight. However, when he takes on the reigns of add responsibility as director, he is not. When he took on Blade Trinity, it wasn't his, it was a rehash of Blade and Blade 2. But then again, Goyer also wrote the script for Crow 2: City of Angels, and that is the type of movie that I call only watchable because of the kick ass soundtrack, otherwise it totally sucked balls. It was a crow styled music video...nothing more, and I hated the constant yellow and black color that it remained in the entire movie. The Unborn for the most part sucked, as it seems like Goyer rehashes what he already knows. He needs to just stick to writing and stay out of the director's chair. EphPhaThaINC - 10/2/2009, 2:14 PM
	I think this movie has lots of potential. It would be cool to watch magneto become evil. Also, could be interspersed with flashbacks of young mutants from the 50's 60's and 70's, being used and insttrumental in historical events. The world becomes a darker place and so does Magneto. 	SHAMAN- I'm diggin your pick, but like you said, HARRIS would be great for 1st class, but couldn't work for the ORIGINS. What's everyone cryin about??? MAGNETO absolutely has enough material for an ORIGINS movie! I would love to see him and Charles (two of the most powerful mutants in the universe) come into their powers and flex a lil muscle. I've pretty much laid out MAGNETO'S origins on here before and i'm not about to do it again just cuz most of you are talkin out of your @ss......just know that your a moron if you don't think there is enough material. 	I've always disagreed with the Mag-nee-to pronunciation. He is the master of magnetism so his name should be pronounced Mag-net-o. It's some gay ass Stan Lee thing. 	This is not a good idea for a movie at all. Magneto will have no drawing power at the box office. If they felt they had to stick a multitude of cameos in Wolverine to make the movie more appealing, then how many cameos are going to be needed for Magneto? 	I don't understand Why they want to do a first class and Magneto Origin. Couldn't they combine both. It's like they want to reboot the first x-men into two movies.
