Planning on seeing Sony's RoboCop in IMAX when it opens this Wednesday? Well if you do, you'll be treated to an extended look at Warner Bros.' 300: Rise of an Empire. Will you be seeing both films, just one or neither?

What's the over/under that you're going to see 300: Rise of an Empire in theaters when it opens March 7th? For that matter, what are the chances that you're going to see RoboCop when it opens tomorrow? On the off chance that you are, you'll get to see an extended look at 'Rise of an Empire' which should help you make up your mind. Seven years ago, 300 surprised movie audiences and created a renewed interest in Frank Miller comic book properties but that years ago. No one is certain that a sequel can carry that same level of interest after so much time has passed. Still, the early reaction to a 13-minute preview screened for media outlets was pretty favorable so perhaps WB has another surprise on its hands?

After its victory over Leonidas' 300, the Persian Army under the command of Xerxes marches south towards the major Greek city-states. The Democratic city of Athens, first on the path of Xerxes' army, bases its strength on its fleet, led by admiral Themistocles. Themistocles is forced to an unwilling alliance with the traditional rival of Athens, oligarchic Sparta whose might lies with its superior infantry troops. But Xerxes still reigns supreme in numbers over sea and land.
