F9 Is Now The Highest-Grossing Movie Of The Pandemic Era - Check Out Its Honest Trailer!

The ninth instalment in the Fast and Furious franchise is now officially the highest-grossing movie of the pandemic era, becoming the first major Hollywood feature to take in over $700M at the global BO.

The COVID-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc on the film industry for well over a year now, and it's fair to say that not a single major Hollywood release has been able to reach its full box office potential. Even so, one movie has managed to rake in a pretty substantial (given the circumstances, at least) pandemic-era haul.

The latest installment in the Fast and Furious franchise, F9, has now taken in over $700 million at the worldwide box office, making it the only motion picture to do so since March of 2020. The last film to cross that milestone was Jumanji: The Next Level, which amassed $800M globally back in 2019.

Yes, the last two Fast and Furious films both reached $1 billion, but in the current climate, this is still pretty damn impressive. The franchise has always been very popular, but one of the main reasons Fast 9 was able to achieve this kind of success at the BO is because it was a theatrical only release, and did not debut on a streaming service at the same time.

People love these big, silly, macho car movies, and that's not likely to change anytime soon. Check out the Honest Trailer for F9 below, and let us know what you thought of the movie in the comments.
