BLADE RUNNER 2049 Director Denis Villeneuve Expresses Interest in Helming BOND 25
Rumors of Denis Villeneuve (Arrival, Blade Runner 2049) being pursued to direct the next 007 film have been making the rounds, and the man himself has finally responded. Click to see what he had to say!
Hot off directing Blade Runner 2049, Denis Villeneuve's name has come up in connection with Bond 25. The rumor is that Daniel Craig is very interested in having Villeneueve direct the next James Bond outing. Although this is a rumor, Denis Villeneueve did take the time to give this intriguing response to the rumor during an interview: “I cannot talk about that. But let’s say that for me to do a Bond movie would be a deep, deep pleasure.”
It's interesting to note that he says, "I cannot talk about that..." instead of just saying he doesn't want to talk about it. Based on that particular response, he is almost implying that he has already talked with the proper people about directing Bond 25, but is not allowed to disclose any information. As great as it would be to have an acclaimed director such as Denis Villeneuve helm a Bond film, it may not happen anytime soon due to his already full schedule.
