BOND 25: Christoph Waltz Confirmed To Return As The Villainous Blofeld In Daniel Craig's Final 007 Adventure

With the still-untitled Bond 25 expected to end Daniel Craig's run as 007, it looks like the franchise is pulling out all the stops and now, it's been confirmed that Christoph Waltz will return as Blofeld.

The Daily Mail is reporting that 2x Academy Award-winner Christoph Waltz will reprise his role as Spectre villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld in the upcoming Bond 25, which will mark the end of Daniel Craig's five-film run as 007.

Variety has since confirmed the report.

Waltz is the latest returning face from the previous Craig installments, joining Ralph Fiennes (M), Naomie Harris (Moneypenny), Léa Seydoux (Madeleine), Ben Whishaw (Q), Rory Kinnear (Tanner), and Jeffrey Wright (Felix). Newcomers to the franchise will include Academy Award-winner Rami Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody), Ana de Armas (Blade Runner 2049), Billy Magnussen (Game Night), Lashana Lynch (Captain Marvel), Dali Benssalah (Flash), and David Dencik (Quicksand).

Cary Joji Fukunaga is directing with a screenplay he wrote with contributions from Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, Scott Z. Burns, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

Production is currently underway in London with an April 8, 2020 release date already set.
