The first official behind-the-scenes footage from the still untitled 25th James Bond movie has been released, and it gives us some brief glimpses of Daniel Craig's 007 along with the returning Jeffrey Wright (Westworld) as Felix Leiter, and Lashana Lynch (Captain Marvel) as a mysterious new character named Nomi.

The minute-long video teases the exotic Jamaican setting and also features several shots of director Cary Fukunaga filming the action.

Bond 25 hasn't enjoyed the smoothest of shoots so far, but Craig is now fully healed up after his recent ankle injury and everything seems to be back on track

“Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica,” according to the official description of the film. “His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.”

Bond 25 is set to fire into theaters on April 8, 2020, and also stars Rami Malek, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Lea Seydeoux, Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear, Dali Benssalah, Billy Magnussen, Ana de Armas, and David Dencik.

@tmp3 - 51 is not old, you're not even considered middle-aged until 45.

@soberchimera - Yeah, but even compared to a 30 year old the physique that Craig's in is incredibly impressive; even more so for being well above that age

@tmp3 - he's the only bond i've seen in the franchise that makes those feats believable . no shade towards the other actors , i just feel bond should have a certain look for the action elements.

The hype is real. Hope they keep the gunbarrel at the beginning of the movie.

@knocturnalzen10 - Connery is my favorite Bond with Craig a close second, but I might have to agree with you about the movie. I watched Dr. No recently and it doesn’t stand the test of time. Not his best Bond flick by any means though.

@RolandD - I think Craig acts the closest to the Bond that Ian Fleming originally wrote with Timothy Dalton a close second.

Apparently Fleming wasn't keen on Connery portraying Bond initially but was so impressed with his portrayal in Dr No that he started to use some of Connery's mannerisms in future stories.

@bcom - I think you are to on the money but it was one of those situations where the actor’s portrayal became more iconic than the written character. Fleming wrote Bond as having Scottish heritage only after Connery’s portrayal. The best other example of this for me is one RDJ and Tony Stark. I also agree with you about Craig and Dalton.

@bcom - And yet

@RolandD - Yeah. The movies started to diverge from the books quite a bit and went their own way with the character. It got to the point where it wasn't really Ian Fleming's James Bond anymore so there were two takes on the character; the one written in the novels and the one portrayed in the movies.

Daniel Craig started to turn him back into the character from the original novels which I think was a cool move.

I can’t lie, I wasn’t really into another Craig-Bond film after the hot mess that was Spectre, but the more I hear from this the more interested I get.

People shit on Spectre quite unfairly. It was a good movie IMO. Good way to bring back Bond's best villain.
