Variety is reporting that Sian Brooke has signed on to join Tom Cruise in Paramount's hotly awaited Mission: Impossible 6. Details on her role weren't given, but it's being described as a key part.

She's now the latest rising star to join the cast, following Henry Cavill (Justice League) and Vanessa Kirby (The Crown), who were both announced earlier this month. In addition to Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Rebecca Ferguson, and Simon Pegg are all also expected to reprise their roles from previous installments in the blockbuster action franchise.

Chris McQuarrie is back at the helm for the sixth mission, utilizing a script he wrote, and production is expected to begin this spring in Paris.

Brooke is best known for her breakout role on the hit BBC series Sherlock, where she portrays Mr. Holmes' long-lost sister Eurus. She's also received acclaim for her work on other popular British series like All About George and Cape Wrath and can be seen next in the TV mini-series The Moorside.
