Mission: Impossible - Fallout is a masterpiece of cinematography, with some people even calling it the greatest modern day action film and one of the greatest films ever made. The movie, with brilliant and on-the-edge-of-your-seat action sequences that are second to none, has received widespread acclaim from critics and audiences alike.

With Fallout setting a new high bar for the Mission: Impossible franchise and action films in general, fans have begun to wonder how Tom can out-Cruise himself with seemingly impossible stunts in the inevitable 7th film. The answer may lie in one region the MI films have yet to venture:
outer space

In an interview with Collider, Cruise was asked whether the Mission: Impossible films will ever go into space. Cruise, being the daredevil that he is, answered that it is actually something they have considered for the films, but they are just not there yet when it comes to figuring out how to both incorporate dropping him from space into the story or how to logistically pull it off.

We’ve thought about it. It’s like how do we do it? It’s the mechanics of getting it there. How do you build a sequence there and how long can we have that sequence? Because if I went up and just dropped, it’s the kind of time — how do you put that into the structure of a screenplay of a Mission? When we’re doing these things, there’s so much story going on. As opposed to just a cool shot, we want character and story going throughout. I can’t help but look at that building up here or at the Eiffel Tower and seeing stories. What could the team do and what could we do? But we have thought about that.

Knowing Cruise, it's only a matter of time before Ethan Hunt must venture into space for an impossible mission to save the world. Especially in this day and age where space is becoming more militarized and threats from enemy satellites are a clear and present danger, Hunt heading to space as a one-man Space Force would not seem as farfetched

Be sure to check out Cruise's interview with Collider in the video before, where he also talks about an awesome story of going undercover in the London metro.  Share your thoughts below on Mission: Impossible - Fallout and whether you would like to see Ethan Hunt head into space!
