Tom Cruise Takes An Epic Leap Of Faith In An Insane New Poster & TV Spot For MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - FALLOUT
Paramount Pictures has released an action-packed new TV spot for Mission: Impossible - Fallout with even more never-before-seen footage. Plus, RealD 3D has released their exclusive Fallout poster!
Chris McQuarrie's Mission: Impossible - Fallout will feature some of the most insane action sequences ever captured on camera, including Tom Cruise's epic HALO jump, which will see the global megastar jump out of a plane at a height of over 25,000 feet.
I was fortunate enough to see an early cut of the full sequence as well as its raw footage at CinemaCon and can assure you that you've hardly seen anything yet. The entire sequence picks up in the plane with Ethan Hunt (Cruise) and August Walker (Henry Cavill) having an argument before Walker disconnects Hunt's oxygen and jumps out of the plane. Hunt is then left to scramble, reconnect his tank, and then jump out after Walker - all in one take.
Hunt zips toward the camera guy, which gives us a very cool shot as we get to actually see Cruise performing the stunt himself while the camera guy falls backwards. He spots Walker and catches up to him and while this part was unfinished, McQuarrie revealed that the pair will get struck by lightning and be separated. A few moments later, Hunt comes to and spots an unconscious Walker falling to the Earth. He has to quicky zoom toward him, deploy his parachute to save his life, and then also launch his own parachute before meeting a very brutal death. Oh and he barely has three minutes to do all of this. It's a truly unreal sequence.
