...and that's a wrap on Mission: Impossible - Fallout!

After "3000 setups, 13 helicopters, 6 pregnancies, 5 hiatuses, 4 weeks of aerial photography, 3 continents, 2 winters, and 1 broken ankle," director Chris McQuarrie has finally wrapped principal photography on Tom Cruise's highly anticipated Mission: Impossible sequel, which is due out in theaters this July.

Filming initially began last April and has been ongoing for the better part of the year. However, as you can see from McQuarrie's caption from his Instagram post, the production process has been quite eventful, to say the least. While Cruise's ankle injury in August was undoubtedly the biggest headliner as it led to production shutting down for seven weeks while he recovered, his co-stars were equally as busy over the past ten or so months. Rebecca Ferguson, who also took time off to promote The Greatest Showman, recently revealed that she was pregnant with her second child during the cast's appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Simon Pegg wrapped Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One, and Henry Cavill, of course, found himself reshooting a good chunk of his scenes in Justice League after Zack Snyder was relieved from his position at DC Films.

McQuarrie does mention that a splinter unit will continue filming a stunt sequence for the next several days, but it's unlikely that any principal cast member will be involved.

Henry Cavill, Angela Bassett, and Vanessa Kirby also join the dynamic cast with filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie returning to the helm.
