With Chris McQuarrie's highly-anticipated Mission: Impossible - Fallout due out this summer, Paramount Home Media Distribution has officially announced that the first five films in Tom Cruise's blockbuster action franchise are all coming to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray this summer for the first time ever.

All five Mission: Impossible films will debut individually, on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and Ultra HD Digital on June 26, which is exactly one month from today.

Brian De Palma's Mission: Impossible and John Woo's Mission: Impossible II will be packaged in individual 2-disc UHD/Blu-ray sets with HDR and all of the previously released special features while J.J. Abrams' Mission: Impossible III, Brad Bird's Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, and McQuarrie's Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation will be packaged in individual 3-disc UHD/Blu-ray sets with HDR and all of the previously released special features. Additionally, Rogue Nation will also come with a special Dolby Atmos soundtrack that was specifically remixed for the home, which sounds plenty exciting.

Just in time for the highly anticipated debut of MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE—FALLOUT (in theaters July 27), all five of the blockbuster MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE films arrive for the first time ever on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray™ and Digital June 26, 2018 from Paramount Home Media Distribution.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it – experience all five action-packed films in eye-popping 4K Ultra HD.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 3, MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE—GHOST PROTOCOL and MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE—ROGUE NATION will each be available in 3-disc UHD/Blu-ray Combo Packs with High Dynamic Range, access to a digital copy and previously released bonus material. I don't why, and may be wrong, but MI has been one of the best franchises ever and I feel like it's underrated.

Maybe because a lot of people don't like Tom Cruise, or something, but every one of these films have been top notch action and fun. The worst, to me was MI:2, but even had its moments.

@Menks123 - I get what you mean. These movies should be bigger than they are.

@Menks123 - It's hard to get people into them because the star is high up in the food chain in his cult.

Currently marathoning them. 2 is cheesy. John Woo. 1 and 3 are great. Ghost Protocal is okay, but the 3rd act kinda just burns out. About to watch Rogue Nation.

4K is the same thing as Ultra HD.

The only use "Ultra HD" for people who are too dumb to understand what 4K is.

and 4K isn't really 4K. It is 3840 × 2160 but instead of saying 3840 they just rounded it up to 4K.

So you have 720, 1080 and 4K

And now you know....

So in the 2nd movie poster, it kind of looks like someone stabled a nutsuck to his cheek.

Amazing franchise. Part 2 was whack, but the rest were superb.

Tom Cruise's face must be immune to wrinkles.

Really enjoyed this series. II ultimately added up to little, bar some great stunts. But III really surprised with emotional weight/depth (even though it was co-written and directed by J.J. Abrams). Thanks, in no small part, to Philip Seymour Hoffman's performance. Still angry he flamed out so young. A great character actor in any role. Rogue Nation seemed to offer more than it delivered (real closure with Sean Harris/Solomon Lane), but judging by the cast list for Fallout - they're going to fix that. So 4K all the way!
