Rita Repulsa Prepares For Her Grand Escape In A New Portrait From POWER RANGERS

A new photo of Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa from the upcoming Power Rangers reboot has surfaced and may shed some light on where she's imprisoned, and more importantly, how she escapes.

After 10,000 years, she's free and on her way to conquer Earth, but before she can get to that, she'll have to deal with five pesky Power Rangers.

We unfortunately didn't get the first official trailer at Power Morphicon 5 this past weekend, but we still have a Ranger goodie for you to enjoy. Tim Palen, Lionsgate's Chief Brand Officer and President of Worldwide Marketing, has released an intriguing new photo of Elizabeth Banks (Spider-Man) as the villainous Rita Repulsa. She's seen pictured behind some sort of glass enclosure, which seems to be on the verge of cracking wide open and releasing the witch from her imprisonment. There isn't any sort of indicator suggesting whether it's a publicity shot or an actual promotional still from the movie, but whatever it is, it's certainly not good news for our Rangers. Check out the photo below:
