Deadline is reporting that Marvel alum Jessica Henwick (The Matrix 4; Iron Fist), Wagner Moura (Narcos; Sergio), Julia Butters (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood; American Housewife), and South Indian superstar Dhanush (Raanjhanaa; Vada Chennai) have joined the cast of Netflix's upcoming action thriller The Gray Man, which will have Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame masterminds Joe and Anthony Russo in the director's chairs.
They join an all-star cast headlined by 2x Academy Award-nominee Ryan Gosling (Drive; The Nice Guys) as the titular former CIA operative-turned-freelance assassin. Chris Evans (Captain America: The First Avenger; Avengers: Endgame) and Golden Globe-nominee Ana de Armas (Knives Out; No Time to Die) feature in the two other leading roles.
In addition to directing and serving as producers, the Russo Brothers also penned the screenplay, which underwent a recent touch-up from frequent collaborators Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
The film is based on the first installment in Mark Greaney's acclaimed thriller series, which follows the Gray Man (Gosling) as he is hunted across the globe by a former colleague named Lloyd Hansen (Evans), who is hellbent on putting the rogue assassin down before he interferes in something that could have serious global ramifications.
The Gray Man has also been confirmed to boast an estimated $200 million production budget, which will easily make it the most expensive film Netflix has ever produced.
